Lavos exists in real world?
« on: October 19, 2007, 08:36:20 am »
Many splendid persons was in Chrono Trigger. Charming Schala, Magus with his intricate nature, brave Cyrus... But who impress us stronger? Lavos, of curse. IMHO, it's symbol of game.
Hystory of our world resembles hystory of Chrono Trigger. Fallen Meteorite destroys dinosaurs (include very intelligence troodons), and creates human civilization. May be, Lavos exists really? In our world? And he sleeps now, but he will awake some time...

I think it's more like history of the Chrono Trigger world resembles our own.

You could say that Lavos doesn't exist in our world, but one of the big morals of the Chrono series is that there's a little Lavos in all of us. In today's society(as face issues like global warming, war, etc.), you could make a case that Lavos is alive and well in our hearts.

Sorry for the soapbox :p

Lavos exists in the real world no more than say... Ozzie. Plus in the game the meteor crashed on land and in real life it carved out the gulf of Mexico.

Then, Lavos is allegoric symbol of the evil? Like Sauron in "Lord of the Rings"? I has this idea.
May be, Lavos embodies dark side of human nature, and Schala - light side? In Crono Cross Lavos and Schala merge in one entity, like the evil and the good merge in our hearts.

Kletian, Ozzie exists! :D

Ever hear of the great siberean explosion? it was described by locals al a "falling red star" and when scientists studied the impact zone, they found no rock pieces! Maybe Lavos DID come to Earth, just later than we thought.

I think Lavos is also a reference to the beginning of life on Earth.

From what I remember, it's theorized that all life on the planet might have been brought from space, by a meteor that hit Earth.

Lavos didn't create the first life forms of the planet in CT, but he deeply influenced in their evolution (at least in humans' evolution), almost like he had made them.

Of course Lavos exists. Right now he's sucking up the planet's energy to strike when the time comes.

I'd love to talk more, but I gotta go get the Epoch and stop Lavos. See ya.

Gonna go stop Lavos, yet you're a Dark person.
You're not secretly consulting with him about dooming us all, are you? ARE YOU?! :)
