Though I don't have a copier, I have a emulator called bSNES which is very close to the real deal as you can get, most rom hacks won't work on it. Anyway, I've just tested what i got of my rom hack on it, and there hasn't been any crashing to the game. So...
Playing the rom hack on the actual SNES: YES!

Note 2: The real test won't come unless someone has a copier to put the rom on and see if it will work. BSNES isn't 100% accurate to the SNES, but it's very close.
