IcyBrian taken care of, Boss:
http://www.icyforums.com/index.php?showtopic=8547

Also, is there a way to submit a big news item on RomHacking.net, or should we just go through their forums?

I submitted it to RH. I guess they've just got a big backlog or are still celebrating the holidays.

Ah, you created a new thread in IcyBrian. Now follows a xenophobic reaction from self-absorbed weirdos explode who will accuse you of spamming while completely ignoring your post. But good; that was the right thing to do, whether it provokes a parade of cretinous fuckwads or not.

Uh-oh! Flame shields up. Maggiekarp's from there, so they can't all be bad, right?

Whoa, I totally forgot to submit to news at RH in addition to submitting the hack for hosting. That's been fixed. Hopefully we'll get some good feedback there; detailed criticism of Prophet's Guile = quality for Crimson Echoes.

Mmh, apart from Chrono Crisis and GameFAQs, there doesn't seem to be that much reactions. These forums don't seem to be really active...

I'm also rather miffed that the preview vids aren't coming up first thing on Youtube when search results are sorted by date added. Maybe it would help if more Compendiumites uploaded the preview to their Youtube accounts. The outtro isn't working properly on the one I did for Zeality though; this gives me an excuse to go back and re-do the outtro with a proper logo now that you've given me the font, so maybe it would be best to wait? It'll be a few days before I get around to it though.

Anyone's welcome to try posting it at Chrono Center's BBS, keeping it to simple english.

Like,

"US ROM hack about Maou", or stuff like that. With a link, of course.

I'll ignore Zeality's little diss of my home forum for now, but I'm just giving you a quick warning that your topic might not get a whole lot of posts positive or negative. The traffic in the Chrono section has mostly died down and they're thinking of merging it with the Other RPGs section.

The absence of replies is a pleasant surprise. If anyone wants evidence of the norm, just find threads I posted in long ago, like the sticky one, whose last reply is some guy being a predictably titanic ass because I helped someone find a link.

ChronoShock:

We've got 60+ views through IcyBrian in any case. Uh...ten of them might be me :D

Any other Chrono fansites out there with their own dedicated communities? How active is the CT Novel Project forum these days?

Ah, thanks for posting. I was banned there after it became apparent that the Chrono Compendium had shattered Dicetomato's dreams of making ad revenue off a game fansite.

That's about it. There is the Novel Project, but after that there are just the dead CTRP and CTR forums. Still waiting on RH to post the news; can't tell you how anxious I am to see the response. Geiger's given Chrono Trigger fans a special domain with Temporal Flux, allowing easy manipulation of the entire game. It's time that domain was taken advantage of and the advanced state of Chrono Trigger hacking made clear with an engaging, wonderful gesture of fan expression.

Damn straight! I had no idea just how much fans can do with Trigger until I participated in this project. Along with getting Chrono Cross hacking back up to speed, I'm going to open up a topic soon in Kajar labs regarding the insertion of foreign tilesets. That way everyone who's done Trigger hacking already can dump their knowledge, and hopefully the result will be a tutorial that's as user friendly as the portrait tutorial you did.

There's been an announcement at the Chrono Compendium Facebook group as well. That may have been incredibly cheesy, but it IS Facebook after all.

Hah, I should show up at that group one day.

Yeah, a tileset introduction thread would be phenomenal. It'd really blow the lid off new, exciting worlds.

I wonder if I should start some kind of plot thread about my Radical Dreamers idea, just for the hell of it.

Hell yeah, that'd be great. If we get the models from Cross, perhaps...but such ideas are best kept from Squeenix's prying eyes.  8)

Zeality, I think you've already hit up one of the ACMLM boards already, but I took the liberty of announcing at the other board (guess they have two?)

We got a reply at Chrono Shock! :lee:

The Eyes on Final Fantasy board is a tough crowd. Hopefully the preview vids will soften 'em up.
