Oooh, seeing 3D Chrono projects is always inspiring. What program are you using to make this, by the way?

Looking at the original map, I would say that those are probably vines and/or leafy shrubs.

That's a good start you have there.

I put the map into my game engine to see how it looks. unfortunately without 3dsmax's raytracing and fancy lighting the cliffs look more like turds than rocks :x

hopefully after adding all the details like grass and bushes and flowers and leaves it will look better (shadows will help too).

Very, very nice. If you can, try to square off a few edges.

I'm counting on you to stick with this project. Too many times has the Chrono community been let down over a great project doomed to people who stop caring. But as I've said in another thread, try not to let this go too public.

Can you refrase on square off a few edges? Do you mean to smooth them?

And I have a plan to not get shut down.  I will never release any kind of email address. If square cannot contact the creator, they cannot give a cease and desist.  And if they send a message over a forum, I can say oh your square enix huh? right, well im bill gates take me to court if you want.  And they cannot take me to court without my name and address ^^.  If my project ever starts to get cool, then ill have to start using a proxy address to make forum posts, and change my id to like 'M' or something, so id be virtualy impossible to research with google.  Hope I can get far enough for them to want to shut me down!

By "square" I mean just that. The edges of the rocks are a little too rounded. I'm not trying to be mean or anything, I'm just saying... try and lessen the "turd" effect.

ooh, i see.  the shading is all set to smooth so they look round (even though they are pretty low polygon), maybe playing with the shading groups could make them look more jagged, will post results.

Still, though, great work!  And don't quit on it!  :)

Out of curiosity, what game engine are you using?
