Could be that Kato already knows about CE. The fact that Kato actually said "Runmaru," literally, in that interview can only mean...!

Well, I wonder if the interview about Ninja Gaiden was conducted with Kato directly, or through a translator. The English used in the Ninja Gaiden interview seemed much better than the English used in that GameFAQs post.

I love how nobody over at GameFAQs reacted in the slightest to the user masato_kato's post. Imagine, Masato Kato waltzing into a forum full of Chrono fans, and he's like, "Hi guys!" And all the fans are just like, "eh, whatever, dude." In retrospect, I should have tried to PM him or something after seeing the post, on the offchance it really was our Runmal.

I just checked the wiki page for Ninja Gaiden, yeah, Kato is that Runmal/Runmaru. I never played that series, however.
