The last.....huge thing we need from you is the dialogue for the random forest area.  If you can find some time to jot down something there we should be able to pick up your slack (here's hoping 99's momentum continues :) ) .  Every other thing in the bug database was "clean up map X" which...I'll see if I can do...:(....With 99 agreeing to do chapter 14 the last maps that absolutely positively I  wouldn't want to release w/o cleaning up is porre lab (the part before getting in the lab is laughable)  which is a tileset I can actually somewhat do (unlike caves/forests/etc).  I guess the back path to Ocean Palace isn't the greatest map either but it's not embarrassingly bad or anything.

Here is a patch with the ending almost finished. I implemented the black screen decision boxes in Prehistory and 605 thanks to a ChangeLocation in overworld events (instead of codifying exits in every location), but I haven't done this in 1005 yet because the overworld code is slightly different there, for some reason. It shouldn't be too difficult to figure out. I'll update the wiki later, but note that the decision boxes are using location {1EF} slot and mem 7F00F9.

EDIT: By the way, it's 1 a.m. so I'm off to sleep, but I'll reply to Darkken's post in Graphic Hacking tomorrow concerning Kasmir and King Zeal.

You're a risky man :).  A bit of fair warning the 1005 OW events seem to be vary fragile...I'm not nearly as adept at you with OW events so I think I screwed up with the ferry events and post Fall of guardia copy tiles. Every time the OW events are opened and saved goto's that were   like [00ab]  become [FFab]

So you have to manually go through and change them it's super annoying.  that being said there's definitely some "ending only" code branch that blocks off zenan bridge from being crossed so hopefully you can put the change location there. (it should be near the top and a single copy tile).

I went to check out the new ending and it was stuck in a loop!  Somehow the storyling was never being set to DA.

This patch is only different from the above patch in that after you fight the hands/head fight the storyline is set to DA before going back to the other room.

EDIT: I just played through the ending, 99, having magus push robo out of the way for the switch seriously cracked me up.  There was one small bug in that it looks like a copy tile is off (when it turns back to green it turns to a black square) but other than that it seemed perfect.  The decision boxes don't deter away from the feeling of returning home after an adventure. We can probably update some of the dialogue (the cathedral stood out the most).

did some AI changes i think tomorrow i'll..*sigh* do the stupid save points tomorrow  (sooooooo boring) then I have dalton round 2 and the final boss fights and....well who knows after that....I guess some extra endings and maybe do a few maps.

For dalton, the "other" dalton doesn't have much wiggle room for AI, so i'll look for another enemy to create a dalton or maybe toss a golem in there with him.  I'm not sure tossing a golem will help it is 5 chapters later....though in chapter 15 he's a really difficult fight.

Fixed the 1005 ending stuff. Thanks for mentioning the single copytile; it was actually easier to code the changelocation in 1005 than in the other overworlds :)

Time to bite the bullet and do the save locations

Check out. Hrm.....

99, your patch is 0 bytes?  I'm going to do the save location stuff and post a patch of only that tonight it's on static data so it should be fine.

While dialog can make a big difference, the knights sidequest feels rather weak to me.

This has always been on the back of my mind and I think I just had an idea on how to fix it (i wanted to make a post while it was on my mind. It could be fun if during the samuel fight Frog gave samuel commands (think pokemon).

Here's the patch I mentioned above.  I checked the the lunar logs are all withing the right range, you may want to double check, here's what I get when I apply it:

Lunar IPS (LIPS) Version 1.01
Apply IPS Patch Log

Offset    Size    RLE    IPS_File_Range       IPS_File_Size
------    ----    ID     00000000-00000004        5
3FD2D9       1    No     00000005-0000000A        6
3FD2E7       1    No     0000000B-00000010        6
3FD307       1    No     00000011-00000016        6
3FD30F       1    No     00000017-0000001C        6

------    ----    EOF    00000023-00000025        3

Total Patches: 5 (5)

If you get anything else it may be worth it to go in yourself and revert any changes manually.  Or atleast changes that aren't in this range:

3FD296   3FD395   DATA   N   Location Age Name string used (half byte per location)   2007.02.09

I wonder why it was 0 byte... Anyway, here's the correct patch + the save locations + the Magus/King Zeal ending scene. (There's a small bug in the Guardia Mt Vista scene because I forgot to change the scroll mask.)

This patch contains new AI and status for kasmir and the first Zeal battle....also for heckran too since an attack i made strong for zeal affected heckran too.

They aren't the hardest fights in the world but....well anything is better than what we had before.  I didn't do the face/hands fight cause I'm still not sure what the story is with that? Were using a tileset right?
