Dalton's Last Stand....check.

OK Going through and pretty much fighting every enemy once left me at level 40ish.  I definately got more lenient with exp/tech points near the end though. 

I'm going to add final dungeon enemies and the last room with kasmir/Zeal but it'll be sort of place holderish still.  I want to hold off on the last part until the end of round 2 so we know for sure how strong we expect the players to be.

Alrighty I changed the enemies in the final dungeon, it's basically the Black omen enemies.  I didn't edit their difficulty at all, i'll do the final areas at the end of round 2.  Which will begin next week since I'm leaving to Cali (visiting Berkeley). 

In case you didn't notice i made a quick shop editor so we can replace items as we see fit.

Alrighty starting up round 2.

I changed all the weapon names
Edited shops in prologue so they sell rung 1 equipment
Add couple treasure chests to fiona's forest
fixed up some mapping bugs in prologue

Brought down Magus' equpiment
Edited beast cause a brought down magus couldn't beat them (they took to many hits).  I kept their HP the same but honed down their "attack power up"

That's all...golem boss might not be beatable right now haha

Ok,

Zeality has done some serious beta  testing through chapter 5.  Round 2 will now be enemy tweaks + Zeality tweaks.  I started over but it was worth it.  This patch is up to the start of chapter 3.

The biggest change is a new scene after the porre camp incident. 
Tons of dialogue changes
I changed the boss in the chronoplis attack since they are being used in ocean palace later.

FIxed the Guardia Meeting Bug.  It was caused cause the cook + maids + the dust following the cook cannot be loaded with all the sprites in the meeting.

I was going to release last night anyways but I forgot.  Cyber + Zeality + items/shop  fixes for round2 have been applied up to the beginning of chapter 4.   

With zeality alone that's 138 lines of a an excel spreadsheet.  Chapter 4/5 has 722 -138 lines. 

I also added a "right" path to the Ocean Palace dungeon, and made it so you can talk to agent 12 through the teleporter.  He says he is working on fixing it but right now it only goes one way.  The reason I'm not making Ocean Palace's "straight" path longer is because it's suppose to be the same path you took to the mammon machine in CT just destroyed....i know most people won't recognize it but hopefully someone will.  I realize it's a short duneon if  you don't explore.

Good news and bad news:

Goodnews I'm starting chapter 4 and the game is really coming along

Bad news..we have some corruption... it's a bad one, bad enough where I'm pretty sure only jlukas or vehek can figure it out.  Apparently it's been around for a LONG time atleast since June (last time I had a backup).  If you fight imp ace and let it do an attack on you it freezes the game.  I've checked both the tech it does and the enemy AI for anything out of place and found nothing....it's pretty bad but i'm confident we can figure it out....cross your fingers that this is thing is a loner.

EDIT:  I wanted to let you guys know that I did trace the corruption down to the patch that caused the corruption so it's not nearly as grim as we thought...It was caused by the Marle Reptite enemy patch.  That also happens to be the patch where I used CTEC to edit her weapon to cause confuse.  I'm offically labelling CTEC as not allowed to be used for CE.  It caused the magus levelling up glitch and now this one as well.

Howdy all,

I've added the everything up to chapter 5.  Zeality did  a fantastic job with the text for the decision in conflict forest.  Wer'e also adding actual changes to the future due to this decision.  I added one more room to the tunnels and a little side quest where you give a guy a mid tonic and he kills a couple enemies for you. 

And  even more importantly Jlukas has pulled through yet again and fixed the corruption causing the birds tech to freeze the game.

Oh sorry misleading chapter 4 is finished up but the repurcussions are only half way done...you gave me quite a few lines :)

However I am about 3/4 done adding the repurcussions i'll post it later today.

Ok everyone I'm happy to announce that chapters 1-5 of  round 2 are complete.  The decision of round 4 causes LOTS of repurcussions, it's a new 1002 AD for each decision.  Zeality did a great job of doing the dialogue as well as bugs.

Zeality here's the notes I made while going through your dialogue:

Prologue:

One of the Fiona's Forest guards isn't solid, so you can access Porre. It's the topmost one.   JP comment:  I made porre accessible, why isn't it?

Chapter 2: 
JP Notes:  There's nothing here for King Guardia
The doors in the Vanguard have a sound effect completely in the left ear (stereo). I think a value of 80 puts them in the center.   JP comment:  this is not through events it's through a door trigger, I'm not sur ehow to fix

Chapter 3:
Crono can speak during Ocean Palace if he's the second PC. (Not sure if this is okay.)   JP Note:  It should be fine
In King Zeal's message after he hits Magus, after "I'll let you live for now" he should say    JP:  Note....the suspense here is killing e what should he say!

Chapter 5:
JP Notes:  There's nothing for the chef in cases Help Porre/ Neutral
ShadowBolt still has a Lightning effect for damage   I don’t really know how to fix this, plus we sort of need it for singing mountain
Change the OW music in Truce to Memories of Green if you did NEITHER (if this is possible without a hassle)   Not sure how to start with this…maybe chrono 99…
Glenn when he talks to Janus says he's get some rest -> he'd get some rest   JP Notes:  I can't find this line
Outside Vanguard Lines for case help porre seem incorrect

Use a memory comparison in the overworld events to skip over a Overworldmusic1 = 01 if you sided with Porre or Medina. It only takes 7EXXXX memory values though. I don't know if it takes memory locations besides the overworld storyline counter or the overworld versions of the overworld memory flags. Inside buildings, use No music set and some event code.

I took my first foray into OW editing.  Turns out that to set 7EXXXX bits you can set specific 7FXXXX bits....Chrono'99 figured it out so you can set 7F01F4 and it sets 7E1BAB..i never would have figured it out.

Anyways i spend my hacking time adding a chronoplis mall and and residential area.  I also graphics hacked and to add the bed into blackbirds tileset.  However in order to make the recompressed data small enough i removed the ducts.  I figured it's more important to havea a hospital future tileset.  It's still small enough to add a few more stuff safely so we'll see how large it is once i add the table.

ok lots of small tweaks done today mainly cyber fixes.  Made a couple enemies faster, changed exp/gold rewards etc.  I also force the player to put Crono in one party and magus in another party when they split though i dont force crono to be in the party that goes to nizbel.  I made dark bomber weaker, and i changed magus magic wall tech.  I call it "double tap" and the hits jumps forward hits them, jups forward and hits them again.  It's really weak right now but we can tweak it's attack later.  Magic wall is pointless since he his omnishield now. 

We still don't know how to make shadow bolt to be "shadow" damage but i dont feel bad having it be a copy cause before 3 of magus techs were copies.  And this is less of a copy then fire/lit/ice 2 were because we atleast change the palette to something darker.

I also give the player a chance to swap out equpiment before the marle chapter, as well as give a little scene with gaspar and the entity talking using our cheap explanation of the entity letting the players keep their items and such....hopefully zeality can make it sound less corny :)

Feedback now is incredibly useful I'm in a very hacking mood so keep it coming there is no doubt that the feedback from cyber is making this hack more enjoyable.
