Woops!  My bad, dude.  I was gone for five days so I had A LOT of Compendium reading to catch up on.  That's a lot of posts.  So I mostly did skimming...  Once again, my bad.

Has anyone considered Time Crash as a factor that could have pulled Leah and the dinosaurs to that time?

When Dinopolis was pulled by the planet to counter-balance Chronopolis, maybe it also pulled Leah and whatnot for balance too. Of course, it's a vague theory, since one would have to know planet's space-time balance mechanics to affirm anything.

Only Dinopolis was pulled into the keystone dimension and the 'city' was from a dimension where Lavos didn't land and moreover there weren't humans in that dimension to cross over as they were 'edged' out during that dimensions overall evolution. It's likely Gaia's Navel is just a preexisting, undeveloped area... like Madagascar, a "Lost World" as Thought put it.

But do we actually know that no humans existed in the later Reptite timeline?  I mean, it's a bit of a stretch but there  COULD be...

It seems like there could still be humans in the Reptite dimension since there were still Reptite survivors in K-2...

I thought there were but they died off. You know like how the reptiets died off in the Lavos dimension.

Thought:

1. The whole point of my post was to make the connection and show that both games exhibit the same "paradox", if people still choose to call it that.  I suppose one could get away with saying that "Ayla" might not be the CT Ayla, but either way is stretching something.

2. I'm assuming that the Chrono Cross put everyone in their proper place in the "Ideal" timeline.  Or, perhaps, the "land anger" was connected to the Chronopolis stuff somehow, which then ceased to exist.

3. Lucca almost DEFINITELY existed in Home World, as basic arithmetic with people's ages implies that Kid was found BEFORE Serge was bitten.  One could argue that the dimensions actually split before then, or that Kid rewound significantly enough to mess up her age (not likely), I guess.

Well, we could count the Green Ambler as well as his counterpart in the Reptite ending of Trigger.

Ayla has Time Traveler's Immunity. If Leah gets warped after the events of Chrono Trigger then Ayla still lives to have the Guardia Line.
