Frog's Curse And Magus

I used to always call him Glenn, but he himself gave the name so I stick with it now. I always kept eveyone else's name the same, except when I went through a phase where I named the chracters after people that reminded me of them.

Frog's Curse And Magus

I was wondering something, does the curse on Frog needed Magus to maintain it? I mean if I was a powerful sorcerer who could change people into frogs for fun and summons Lavos, I would put a curse that I don't have to focus for it to use, so for me Magus has nothing more to do on the curse and he never would/could dispel the effect. So I was thinking that maybe the curse was "fed" by Glenn's feelings about being a useless frogs to everybody and his grudge against hiself. I never played the PSX version or saw Glenn in his human form except when he was on the bridge with Cyrus who told him to join the army because he was a better swordman than him, so I think that by defeating (did he really died?) Magus his grudge was nearly all gone and he only had to kill Lavos to prove to hiself that he was worthy and the revert back to his human self.

It has to, it wouldn't make sense if it didn't.

For some reason or another, Glenn's human form seems to be tied to Magus.  Frog beats Magus, and beats Lavos, but if you don't kill Magus, he doesn't turn back into a human.  Its weird.

He does in the Chronicles version. Thusly leading me to believe that it is tied to Magus...perhaps Temporally...When the gates close, it closes the tie of Frog to Magus...That's how I see it...

When Magus is sent to 12 000 BC Crono, Frog and co. are sent to 65 000 000 BC that is a big seperation (64 988 000).

Yes, but I mean permanently (ie no gates). With the gates as they are, it's as if they're all on the same plane of existence even though they're on different temporal planes because all it takes is a quick hop through a gate and BLAM they're right there...I think the same applies to Frog's Curse.

Or Magus releases the spells effect so he can foucus his magic on being able to find Schala ie. figuring out how to reactivate the gates.

I never really thought of the curse effecting Magus' magical energies...

I'm not saying it was taxing him in any way, but it is still using some of his magic energy to keep the spell.

Why would he bother at all, he doesn't seem to care about Frog being a Frog, he just joke about it so Frog get mad

Plus, if that theory were true, shouldn't Frog revert back to a human the second you kill Magus?

Exactly, that's why I didn't think Magus was always using some of his magic to 'keep' the spell...He just cast it and it was...

why is it so hard to fathom that magus reversed the spell he put on glenn?  He put it on, he can take it off.  Is it proven that he did this?  no, but no one seems to even bring it up as a possibility (except a few posts back but that wasnt as direct.. something about focusing his energies on portals or something).... I mean it seems the simplest and most plausible to me.

Why would he do it right after they defeated Lavos and not before

and if he could call it off what happen if you killed magus?
