Tearjerking moments from Video Games.

She was one of my favorite characters as well, though my friend dislikes Aerith (his reasoning was that her limits, though useful, did not make sense. I am mad as heck so now I cam going to heal everyone) and loves Tifa (because she was a strong willed woman), so to each his own I suppose.

At any rate, the scene where Aerith dies was a tearjerker for me on several levels (both because I lost one of my favorite characters, as well as the time invested in her development).

I knew of Aerith's death from a friend (he had already told me of her death and showed me the City of the Ancients on his saved game), and even though I was anticipating her death it somehow caught me off guard. 

To my knowledge it's the only time I've ever cried in a video game.

The only time I cried with video games was the times when I was wee lad , who while in trouble, could not play his nintendo or genesis.  I did cry, or so I am told, when [spoiler] Bambi's mother got shot [/spoiler] in the movie Bambi.

When I was a kid I bawled every single time I watched Milo and Otis.  A few years back I watched it again, and guess what; I cried during the dream sequence.

I could've remade that movie in my back yard, if I wanted to. But production values mean nothing when a film features a scene with a Pug riding on a Turtle's back across the ocean. Pure Genious.

Never actually got to a "tearjerker" in a game.  FF7 Aeris didn't effect me really, then again i'm not a fan of the FF series so I can't say anything...Actually, I think the thing that got me was when Chrono was being zapped by Lavos in the anime cut-scene.  When it started to play Schala's theme it kinda hit me.

The "NEW" ending on CT on playstation i.e. fall of guardia (WHAT DID THEY DO TO ME FAVORITE CHARACTERS! I honestly hope Crimson Echoes doesn't do that to me)

Even though Final Fantasy 9 was quite a light hearted game in comparison to the likes of VII and VIII, it had a lot of deep elements I thought. Such a moving ending and the whole thing with Vivi discovering the meaning of life and how things "stop" was a 'lil tear jerky for me as well. That whole scene with all those black mages dying got to me as well. I mean damn, with those things happening.... things got pretty damn serious, pretty quick.

um FFVIII made me cry more then once....and I cried during the ending, I wept till I could weep no more!

Heck lots of games make me cry.....Silent Hill Games make me cry!
1: Multiple things....
2: Mary's Letter! Angela's story! Maria's Ending! The In the Water Ending! The Leave Ending! THE DOG ENDING (although that was more tears of laughter but still....)
3: Claudia's misguided attempts to make paradise! Once again the fact that Lisa Garland is still suffering! [spoiler] the death of the Harry from the first game[/spoiler]
4: When the Eileen got attacked....and the ending you get if you don't save Eileen and your apartment isn't cleansed.
Origins: The beginning with Alessa in the burning building.....although I'm sure there's more I just haven't played very far yet.

Actually Silent Hill makes me laugh alot to ^^

and that is only a small portion! not even 1% of the games that have made me cry.....I may have issues....

Silent Hill 3 was the only game that scared me before, I jumped so high when that phone rang and was creeped out buy the Happy Birthday message.
