It played all the way for me now. Excellent factoid, Crono 288, I was wondering what that 1 ~ 4 was all about.

And thus the wait is over, and like that kid on A Christmas Story, all we got was a message informing us that we should "drink our Ovaltine" -- or plunk down $$ for the exact same game we played over a decade ago. I'm still hoping for exhilerating new content. They didn't even spoil the fact that Magus is playable, so they're definitely hiding things.

The NA site still isn't updated. Must be "lost in translation."

Excellent, thanks nickolz. Their video doesn't show the clock going down to 00:00:00 then the website transitioning, but bah, I'll just drop it since my capture is such poor quality.

The fact that there's no new content shown and that Magus is hidden is so reminiscent of the media surrounding CT's original 1995 release that I predict this is a means of capturing new fans, in preparation for revealing the COMPILATION OF CHRONO. Well, one can hope/quake in fear, right?

The NA one might be waiting for July 7 here, but as there isn't even a countdown on it, I don't really know what to expect or when to expect it.  :?

My guess is translation of the preview material will take an unspecified amount of time, and they'll update the NA site without any fanfare.

Now that I'm interpreting this phenomenon as an attempt to capture new fans and not please the elder ones, I'm somewhat comforted. The re-release of the Breath of Fire games on the PSP went nowhere, but then again that wasn't Square Enix, and I'm hoping S-E is making a conscious attempt to rebuild the fanbase in preparation for something BIG.

Well, it's not like any of their other games' sites were full of content upon the games' announcements...As they go along, they gain content...

But jesus, it's murder on my 56k...Someone should just like rip the flash for download or something...

So what in the game would involve four players?  The only thing I can remember is the race in the fair, but it's been a while since I've played through the game.

that would be lame.  the races last 20 seconds - and i hated doing it in-game in chrono trigger.  let's hope it's not that.

Since a multiplayer Johnny's race seems... well, it's the same as nothing to me.

The wi-fi with four players could be for cooperative gameplay, each one controlling a character. But then, it would go against Gaspar's bullshit about only 3 people being capable of going through a time gate without going to the End of Time. Unless This DS version made it possible to control characters separated, even in different eras, but I don't believe they would change the game to this depth. Also, battles would be too strange, including double and triple techs.

However, versus mode ain't an impossibility, right?
