I like the 7 class' with one exception, I think a Frog race wouldn't quite meld right with the rest of the game( after all wasn't he one of a kind?). Although in the same time period and similar concept is the Mystics army in 600 A.D.

? I've ripped the sprites from the encyclopedia and put them into the correct image arrangement and file format that the game will use, there's many tile attributes, i'll most likely script some using something called "Sadscript" which the engine uses. I'll be modifying the source to incorporate the original chrono trigger startup screen. I can't really explain how everything will work. But it will.

The frog class, well, there are "Frogs" In chrono trigger. Maybe the mystics transformed those frogs into half human to fight for them and they decided to fight with guardia? I'm not very sure on that part. Think up ideas! =p

May I put my 2 cents in?

On the overworld, make the character move a little faster.  Going that slow would drive someone insane after a little while.

Another thing, are you only using 3 frames per walking?  You're not going to do the full 7 frames?

About the slow speed on the map, you can run too =p

And the reason im not using 7 frames is because that would total up to around 28 frames, and since the combat system is in real time, items will be displayed on characters as equips, and for every frame a sprite has, i have to make an extra frame of an item for that frame on the char. That amounts to a huge amount of work

Can't you make the sprites just overlay?  Not actually on the sprite but have them overlayed onto them and follow them as they go?

Composite the sprites before putting them on the map - basically, treat the sprites like little paper dolls, and the visible equipment as "layers" of clothing/etc. that go on top during the compositing process.

i think the classes should be a wickle bit differrent but its up to you i would have had

iokans - an attacker , healer , mage }
