Ah.  My bad.  I only read the quotes after you edited the article.  My bad.  Thanks for clearing that up!

Quote
"...But when the entire staff gathered around to watch the ending, I wound up crying anyway (a lot of other staffers were just as deeply moved). I think all of us put a lot of our emotion into the game."

Isn't it great to see that the creators behind Chrono Trigger had such an emotional experience to see it through?  I mean, when they saw the ending of their own creation, that had the (almost) same reaction we, as players, did.  It was moving, monumental, and everything just came together so nicely.  Having read that seriously means a lot to me as a player and fan.

By the way, I just read through Entertainment Weekly, and it's current issue is a "the new classics" issue.  Chrono Trigger was in the video game list.  Awesome!

Mitsuda's enthusiasm is refreshing~. Gotta love the guy. I wouldn't mind if the unused tracks were included in the DS port...

How Crono used Lighting 2 in the beginning of the game (fourth page of the scan)? THIS IS CHEAT! XDD
pssh, new game+

and to what you guys are saying about the graphics, so what if theyre still snes style! you guys heard about megaman 9 coming out right? everyone got so excited over the fact that is in its original nes style. and sure, chrono trigger hasnt really gone further in terms of graphics as megaman has (unless you count cross), but i still go with my own opinion of NDS' 3D graphics: awkward!

I think Toriyama's style works fine in 3D...it just has to be cell shading...

DQIX looks great.

But, anyways, that's good to hear about the music staying true...I also hope that the unused tracks (& more!) get used. They were all great! And we need another Battle Theme to break up the monotony anyways! ^_^

Another example of 2D grafics with 3D scenario:
I don't like Ragnarok, but it's just an example... CT DS should have 3D!

Found a typo on page three: It's B.C. 1200 when the era should be B.C. 12000

Also, because others have gone ahead and pointed out things that shouldn't be possible for that point in the game... Crono is hasted in the Black Tyrano fight pic on the first page. Since Ayla is required at that point and Frog is member #3, that leaves Haste Helm as the only other option, but it isn't available at that point of the game. New Game + is the most likely answer, but hey, I like nitpicking :D
