Gotta be water, and not the freezing kind. Imagine the slow, painful death of your enemies as you fill their lungs with pure water, forcing them to suffocate as their mind begins to cloud and their eyes view the world one last time.

My avatar is a Magus recolor. I think that would make it pretty obvious that I chose shadow.

Shadow easily. With cool techs like Black Hole and Dark Matter (not to mention their BITCHIN sound effects...I'd be Shadow just for the sound effects even!), along with the availability of all the other elements, you can't be beat!

Magus may be my favorite character, but judging by my name, you can guess the sort of techs I think are cooler.  ;)  I voted for Lightning/Heaven.  Luminaire is a beautiful, beautiful thing.
