The Metal Album
« on: November 17, 2008, 01:26:22 am »
My plan is to incorporate the modern day metal sound into a select number of Chrono Trigger songs. So far I've completed Jurassic Rhythm, Battle 2, Bike Chase, and World Revolution. Pretty soon I'll have it finished and ready for download. It's called "Chrono Trigger: The Metal Album." All I need is support.

I can give moral support at least. :D Is that all you need?

Any plans on doing Magus' battle theme?

Yeah, support?  I can design a cover if you need.  But that's about all I can offer: graphic design.

Have at it, Boo.

Faustwolf, that was my original intention. That was the only one I was going to do, but then I decided to keep going.

Thanks guys.

I've got two samples uploaded on mediafire. The bass in Battle 2 seems to overpower everything so that's gonna be worked on.

The design is up to you. You'll be given full credit for all work done for this project.

What exactly is it you need support with? Pretty vague.

The answer to your question is as simple as it sounds. Support. You can help, you can encourage. There is no one particular thing I am looking for.

If you want a certain song to sound a certain way, I can do it. So any requests people?

Not bad, not bad--I'd say try and escalate the elements of the original theme: battles should sound really intense, in your face, loud, etc. and heavy guitar, that's what I want to hear.

Ha! You all have such wonderful ideas. I can scream but unfortunately I can't write lyrics.

Will do.

That battle theme is coming out rather fantastically. And the one problem I had with it, is the problem you've already recognized yourself, so I'm confident you'll have it hammered out upon release.

Everything so far though sounds really great. Chrono Trigger is a game that didn't get much love from SE as far as albums is concerned, so I eat up fan works like crazy when it comes to music.

Can't wait for this. Your samples are what convinced me to join. =p

Let's see... the list of completed songs...

Bike Chase, World Revolution, Battle 2, Jurassic Rhythm, Battle With Magus, and Robo Gang Johnny. Not very proud of the last one. I can tell you that it's not as easy as it sounds.

Sorry about that. I've been playing Chrono Trigger DS. I actually have three songs on the way and I've managed to complete Singing Mountain. As much as I hate abandoned projects, I couldn't possibly do that.

So far the list is as follows: Singing Mountain, Bike Chase, Battle 2, World Revolution, Jurassic Rhythm, Silent Light, Battle With Magus, and Robo Gang Johnny.
