I think they checked the folders with all the FMVs and it added up to 10, the same amount as the PSX port. I was looking forward to seeing some more FMVs, but whatever.

Ok then, he looses his memory and ends up in a forest, I can accept that. However, does it tells where, and more importantly, when does he ends up?

It doesn't.  That could be hinting at where he is in Chrono Cross (ie - Guile) - but let's hope not.  Let's hope it could instead be used for a new Chrono game secretly in the works!

But you know what, it fits quite perfectly into some of the fan games being worked on around here...

My guess is he turned up somewhere around 1010 AD, then in the next 10 years he moves to El Nido, researching various enigmas. Eventually he meets Serge and his friends, and eventually helps them defeat the Time Devourer, after which he finally regains his memories.

It fits almost too perfectly for Guile not to be Magus now. But leaving open these questions, I have a feeling Square is still not done yet with the Chrono series.

I'm not convinced Guile is Magus either, unless Magus doesnt age, which is ridiculous. Guile does not look to be in his 40's, which is how old Janus would be at the time of Chrono Cross. Guile also doesn't have the ears.

Guile is just some dude. That being said, if there is another Chrono game, I would love to see Guile make a return. I mean, he just looks cool.

Well, how could he have time traveled? Unless the planet started opening gates again, OR he had use of the Epoch.

Why would he time travel to that particular year when all these events were happening if he had amnesia?

Why would Guile awaken from amnesia with a badass scythe and then start using ornamental sticks instead?

Theory! Cross is being ported to the PSP 'cept the plot and characters are being revamped, and along with these Guile will be retcon'd into a more Magus-esque character, fitting in with Trigger DS's ending. The forest in question could be Shadow Forest, right? Although it could be anywhere, of course.
