Double post.  Applied the VWF Menu font patch, fixed a few bugs, updated the attack icon and am now going to rename her items and possibly use a couple of the unused ones if needed.  I'll edit my post as soon as I believe I have it ready.

Edit: The DS events will NOT be included in this separate rom hack for specific reasons.

I assume that there'll be a lot of hacking to add both this and the new DS events into the game. Space-wise, it could be an issue, but then again, I don't really know the logistics of all this. In any event, too much new material may outshine the features of the Schala project all together, right?

Too separate projects and releasing the Schala Project would kill the DS event hacking.  Plus, the DS event hacking has evolved into something much more.  The only event that will be displayed in this hack will be Time's Eclipse.  Everything else, no.

Sounds sensible enough. Which translation will we be using though? Not that any of this matters too much--the Schala project isn't going to be canon or anything.

Keeping the original translation with the new DS dialogue.  We're probably going to have to warp the dialogue a bit to make it seem like it was already present.

On another note, I copied every single bit of DS event coding into the Schala project, removed all extra maps, palettes, events etc...and now it's just the Schala project but with the VWF font.  Also, I had to cut Dreamstone Dagger down to Dreamstone Blade.  It can only fit up to that far, the r will be cut of if we use dagger.

Edit: Sleep isn't a status infliction that can be used.

Damage Can Vary - Wonder Shot
1.5x hit on Magic Enemies - Masamune?
2x hit on Magic Enemies - Masamune II?
Attack up when ally falls - One of Magus's Scythes
Cuts enemy's HP by 1/2 - Not sure, but we will not use this.  Overpowered much.
Attack changes below 10 HP - Crisis Arm
Stop
Slow
Stop on Machines
Chaos
Random Chaos?
4x damage at critical
9999 Hit damage on critical

I'm giving Dreamweaver "Slow" for now.  It makes a little bit of sense.  Stop would be bad...Chaos would be the opposite of it.

Dreamstone Blade doesn't sound bad at all, and it'd look better than Dreamstone Dagge or DreamstoneDagger. Slow sounds good too--does it do slow every time, or is it random?

Random, I'd presume. Also, Dreamstone Blade sounds fine. However, Masamune and Masamune II don't deal extra damage to magic enemies. (Check the Retranslation - also, the DS retranslation doesn't have it saying that either)

Oh, and I think it would be good if you used the more accurate text for Dream's Epilogue. (Someone translated it more accurately somewhere on the CTDS forum, search around there and you should find it)

(Sucks that Sleep won't work, Slow is fine though)

Is everyone okay with her single techs? Can we finalize those? After that, we can begin polishing her dual and triple techs...

Love how this is coming along! Great job, Justin! :D Sorry I can't help with the coding.

- I REALLY had to cut-down on the length of the descriptions..so don't scream at me.

Edit: Yes, Dreamweaver is an unused item made to be used only by Schala.

OK, nvm. I thought you weren't gonna touch the new stuff in CTDS at all. As long as the events at Time's Eclipse stay, we're fine.

Hm... Is it possible for them to just be symbols, like in CTDS? That would make life a lot easier... :/

And bah, don't worry on having to cut down the descriptions. If it needs slight editing to fit, that's fine.

And wow, great job so far, Justin! :D You've made some pretty good progress!

(Why can't you make a new element header, though? Are the current ones hard-coded in? The Retranslation managed to change Crono's "Lightning" into "Sky", so I imagine it would be possible to change it to that, as well...)

Do you need an image for that, or how does it work? And, a lot of the descriptions for the techs are gonna be lengthy...What's the character limit on that? And you're doing brilliantly Justin, I really envy your skills.

I think the single techs are ready to roll: they sound fine, the levels of 'em seem appropriate, and the principles of 'em seem pretty damn decent. The descriptions might need to be rewritten, and since we're not using the DS translation, I'll look up the descriptions from the original release and see if the ones Chocobo came up with will fit.

By the way, is that the dagger icon beside the words Jeweled Knife? Everything looks amazing so far, phenomenal work, Justin.

You mean actually adding a bar that says "Light" and has a different background? That will probably be difficult, yeah... I don't think you should, though. Marle and Glenn don't have separate element icons, yet they technically use different ones, and Schala's "Light" is going to have the same effects battle-wise as Crono's "Sky" magic.

But bah, your project, your call. I don't really have the right to complain, seeing as I am EPIC FAIL at coding. :/ What you've done so far truly is phenomenal, excellent job.
