That kind of conflicts with the script I have for Schala, but whatever. You can edit it accordingly if you want.

How does it conflict? He says go find the old man, she elaborates on what he could do. And Magus's lines are basically a rehash of what he says when you chose not to fight him anyway. I'll change it though, if you guys really think its necessary.

Well, if Janus tells them, they wouldn't be all "sob Crono's dead and there's nothing we can do sob" and stuff. That's why I don't think Janus should tell them anything. But eh, whatever, Justin can do what he wants...

No, we cannot throw this into the whole "I wrote this for this but if he wants this w/e do it" routine.  We need to make appropriate changes to make this work.  Stating that will pretty much end up running this project down into the dust and lost forever.  I don't think anyone wants that.  Plus, it was stated that this is a COMMUNITY project.  I am NOT the ruler of this project.  I'm only helping on things to move it forward just as you guys do to keep this project alive.

- I was afraid of this.  Even with a couple pixels cut off the pose doesn't fit and altering the X/Y coordinates of the things doesn't do squat.  I think Size 1 assembly would work but isn't that a bit pointless just to get 1 pose into the game?..

I don't see anything wrong with that pose, but you could solve this by simply putting the extra pixels in a frame of another sprite and loading that sprite next to the "main" Schala sprite when necessary.

Reason that I can't do that is because that pose will be there on the Dream Devourer at the end.

Perhaps SE actually did it by making Schala part of the background graphics? That would explain why she can't be targeted during that battle.

Could be.  I've never seen background graphics that animate like that though...If that's the case, we're in for a bigger job on that.

Oh, sorry, Justin. I thought that since you were the one who started it, you were the leader... -.-; Sorry. What changes do you suggest, then?

(What's wrong with Schala's pose, by the way? It's off-center? I can't really help, unfortunately, but...)

It's off centered horribly...If I want to make it fit, I'll have to cut it down by 4-5 pixels on each frame which would really screw up the robe proportions.

And yea, just because I started it doesn't make me the leader.  This project wasn't a whole I DID EVERYTHING HAHAHAHAHA thing, it's a group effort.  Everyone who's contributing is just as important as a fan project leader ever could be.  Afterall, usually without them, the projects fail.

Edit: Well, we could make it so Magus leaves and doesn't say anything about it.  So the characters off to go to the End of Time to ask Gaspar for what to do next.  This would knock off to the Resurrect Crono quest smoothly I believe.

Ah, got it: If you choose not to fight him, he just turns around, says "...", and doesn't do anything. If you leave, then come back, he's no longer there. If you try to talk to him, nothing happens.

If you do fight him, though, instead of blabbing about Gasapr and stuff, he says: (after the "Glenn's curse will be undone" thing")

Magus: Ha...whoever would have thought...that you fools could defeat me... {line break}
It looks like...this will be...my last...farewell... {line break}
Schala...

*He turns around and dies*

That would make the characters' interaction with Schala make more sense.

(Also, I'm kind of new to writing script... is {full break} when the text box clears and a new set of text appears? And is a {null break} the end of a dialog? If so, I'll have to comb through my script and redo that... -_-)

{null} - Ends
{line break} - New line with a small indentation
{full break} - New text box
{delay - Delay...not sure how to work this
{instant page break} - I have no idea.
{instant full break} - Haven't used it.
Enter - Just pressing enter will skip to the next line without an indentation.

I think Magus sounds a little too embittered, but that's definitely the right direction. I thought he should say something along the lines of "My death solves nothing" instead of gloating, even in death.

And if they choose not to kill him, he shouldn't mention Gaspar, I definitely agree on that, but he should point them in the right direction, with something like:

Magus: ...you won't find the answer to
   your problem with me...and you'll
   never find it alone. {full break}
   Take your misery back to the village.

Party: Wait, what will you do? Where will you go?

Magus: ...my burdens are my own.

{delay 01} - Under a second
{delay 02} - One good second
{delay 03} - Two-ish?

And so on.
