Wrong. RD Kid is Schala whose age was reset to that of an infant. She grew back up as Kid. What's being proposed is that Magil travels back to prevent this from happening to Schala. In the end, she would never have been Kid at all.

RD Kid is different than CC Kid. In CC Kid is a clone of Schala sent to 1004 AD as an infant.

How could it be Schala though?  Doesn't it take place after the events of Trigger?  If that's the case, Schala should be in the DBT.

Kid is a clone created from Schala. That's CT-to-CC canon. in CT-to-RD, Kid was Schala herself whose aging reversed, causing her to age backwards into an infant. Both were found by Lucca in 1004 AD in their respective timelines.

As far as my understanding goes (both from here at the Compendium and my own playthroughs of RD and CC), Shadow D. Darkman is correct.  In RD, Kid is herself the "reincarnation" of Schala, courtesy of advanced magics and age reversal.  In CC, Kid is a daugher-clone (meaning not a literally clone).

Kid, who appeared in the modern era as an infant and was cared for by Lucca, is in actuality Schala, though unaged and sent thousands of years forward in time. After the fall of Zeal, Schala felt tremendous guilt and sorrow over her actions; the Frozen Flame picked up on these emotions and recreated her as Kid in later history.

Remember it's a whole different dimension, the events of CT as well. She wasn't sent to the DBT, instead the Frozen Flame unaged her and sent her to the future.
