I think it probably would have been too obvious what was going on if Kid & Schala both had the same hair color...I think it was reasonable enough that becoming one with Lavos might mess with your physicality somewhat...>_>

And how many blue haired kids do you need on your team anyway? Serge, Guile, and Kid? It'd be a bit absurd if she had blue hair too. If anything, an explanation would have been nice, but would it have been sensible at all?

I don't think there was any way for them to explain it without it seeming like they're just putting it in there for the sake of itself...I mean, it's not like any of them had seen how she was 'supposed' to look...

Righto, that's exactly what I meant--why would people who never knew Schala need this seemingly arbitrary information? "Hey Serge, I'm gonna join your team. By the way, this girl named Schala, who lived 13,000 years ago, had blue hair! Isn't that awesome? Well, let's go find that there Frozen Flame."
