I don't plan to rename him, however Chrono Trigger Ds's new ending has motivated be to replay Cross, which I have not touched in years.

Hm. I didn't know that. Actually, I just changed it from arf, which is what they called him on his cc blueprint. It just sounded a little wierd to me.

I wouldn't say the new ending "effectively" retconned Guile's identity. It's not like they spelled it out. I, personally, infer that it's true, and they are trying to say Guile is Magus, but I'm not ready to nail anything down just yet.

But no, even if it was undeniably true that Guile was Magus, I still wouldn't rename him.
