Which version?
« on: December 10, 2008, 09:59:56 pm »
Could someone enlighten me as to which version of the ROM this mod is compatible with? I'm not familiar with the "industry standard" for ROM version notion, but I have quite a few versions of Chrono Trigger. Here's a list of all the versions of CT that came with my ROM pack (some 20 gig torrent of "every SNES rom ever" with every version of every ROM); if someone could indicate which one I should use, it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I'd use Temporal Flux to take the header off Chrono Trigger (U) [!].smc and hard patch it. It might work for some other versions you have though.

I got it working. I used the unheadered version of the patch on the U ! version of the rom and it worked great. I just escorted Melchior to Mt. Woe. Thanks!

If the game freezes when the Prophet is beaming down to the Ocean Palace, let us know. It's best to use ZSNES as your emulator.

Nah, it worked flawlessly the whole way through. I always use ZSNES too, I was under the impression it was the standard.

That was really good and filled in an important chapter to the story. Because I was never sure how much longer the story was going to be, I trying to be really conservative with my items; I finished with both elixirs unused. :P

If I recall correctly, wasn't there a bit more before the actual fall that happened "off camera?" Schala was forced to send Chrono & company back through the portal, and then seal it; they of course came back later, but any plays to tell the rest of that angle?
