CuteLucca gave me this. I hope to use these sprites in the future on the Compendium. At present, the focus is on Belthasar at

http://www.videogamesprites.net/ChronoTrigger/NPCs/DarkAges/Gurus.html

and Fiona at

http://www.videogamesprites.net/ChronoTrigger/NPCs/MiddleAges/NPCs.html

Belthasar could be meditating, or, as someone suggested, crazy (as you'd see him in the Keeper's Dome before his death). The Fiona animation is simple enough; perhaps she was intended to help replenish the forest at one time visibly.

I was always kind of pissed that it seemed like Robo was doing all the work, but in the future, she got so much credit just for having the land that Robo worked his ass off for...Hmm...

Well without the plant she kept alive they couldn't have done anything...

But in reality, Crono & Co was responsible for the plant staying in existence as well...They prevented it from being destroyed in 12,000BC and then again in 600AD against the sand monsters...All she did was keep it in her house...

Well, we see Melchior's seed in a Zealian woman's possession in 12,000BC, then in Fiona's possession in 600AD, and finally in the dead guy from Arris Dome's possession in 2,300AD. Crono and the gang saw that guy the first time they traveled to the future, so apparently they weren't responsible for the seeds existence, they already existed before their time-travel.

He never claimed they made it.

"Crono & Co was responsible for the plant staying in existence as well"

I mean, the seed(s) already existed from 12,000BC to 2,300AD, they didn't have to do anything for it to stay in existence (even though Fiona's forest wasn't planted in that original time-line)

I don't remember much actually... Well, either 1/ the seed from 2,300AD has nothing to do with Fiona/Melchior's seeds, or 2/ Melchior's seed was never destroyed in Zeal and Crono's interference is actually to destroy it (or not interfer at all).

It's been a long time since I played Chrono Trigger, so maybe I'm speaking complete non-sense though

You have to tell the woman in post Zeal to save the plant for Fiona to get it. As for the seeds in 2300, that is anyones guess.

I don't think the future seeds are the same...I mean, don't they bear fruit?

The future seeds are hope for the future...to make the future guys "healthy"...Fiona already had the seeds when Crono and Co. talked to her.  As long as you tell the Zealian woman to keep the seed, it will end up in Fiona's hands.  Hope that cleared things up.

Well I haven;t played CT in a while but I remember something liek If you let the woman burn it, after the Ocean Palace disaster, if you talk to her in the Last Village or something, she says that she kept it anyway and that when she is reborn she hopes to live in a world full of trees (Possible Fiona Reincarnate?)

^
If i'm right about this, that means that in any case the seeds would have either passed on to Fiona or gone to 2,300AD either through replanting and getting the seeds or just by the Zealian woman never burning it even if we told her to.

Can't you still tell her that it's not important and that she should trash it even after the Ocean Palace disaster though?
