I prefer the first one. Besides the blurred font it was great!
The second one everything is spaced out perhaps too much. Maybe squeeze it in some?

I could make the Sprites bigger.

If you feel you need to make the sprites bigger, don't actually take the little corner and stretch them out. It distorts them. What you want to do is take your CTRL key and hit the + button with it to make it bigger, while you hit the - button to shrink it. This way, it keeps everything proportionate.

As for your comics, they're pretty nice.

Yes, I saw the Kefka. Now all I need are FF8 sprites of Squall, Rinoa, Irvine, and Edea. ... and a background.

I already have this planned out. I seem to recall Giygas being a weak boss, So they PWN him and go to help The EarthBound crew... And Kefka. Who does something bad. Very bad.
