Quick question about Crono and his cats.

Okay, first-time poster here. Hi! And I'm sorry if this has already been asked before; just let me know if it has. ^^;

So, I just got Chrono Trigger DS and I'm currently trying to get all of the cats which Crono can keep at home. I read in the FAQ section that "You can have a total of 11 cats", and I just want to confirm that. So, is the total number of cats Crono can have in his house REALLY just eleven, or is it just that he can get a total of eleven MORE cats from the Fair in addition to the one he has at the start of the game?

I know, it sounds like my answer is RIGHT there in the FAQs already, but again, I just want to check. I've already got eleven in his house and am wondering if I should bother with getting even MORE cat food right now. >_>

So, if anyone can clear this up for me really quickly, that'd be great. ^^; Thanks.

I never really spent the time gathering cat food and such, but if you have 11 in your house at the moment. Then it seems to me you already answered your question.

Well, I JUST got the eleventh cat a little bit ago, and haven't really tried earning the cat food necessary to get another one yet. Part of the reason I asked this question is that I was wanting to find out beforehand if trying to get another cat would be a waste of time. It's already taken me about eight hours to get the number of cats I currently have... @_@

I'm pretty sure that the maximum amount of cats you can get is 11. I think it's like 6 downstairs and 5 upstairs. I think it was in the PSX version strategy guide maybe. But I remember the number is 11.

Yes, actually, I do have the purple cat. xD So I guess there's not another purple one I can get for Crono's bedroom, huh?

Alrighty then; if the total number really IS eleven like you say it is, then I guess I am done with the cat food. For now. (I'm guessing I might have to go back and earn some extra on occasion; it seems like the amount goes down with time and not just cats. Am I right in assuming that?)

Yes, crash the Epoch into Lavos. Now the gate will close after Robo goes in, and the cats will not leave.

Hmm... I guess it's unavoidable without that. And I usually don't crash it.

Me neither. Although I never bother to get more than one cat, so it's always only one.

Same. The only thing I spend Silver Points on is the Crono-Doppel-Doll, for after the Ocean Palace.

I've only ever had two cats max, never bothered to try for more...I usually go the Balloon Ending route as I believe it to be the most canon ending. I didn't even know there could be cats upstairs (besides the beginning of the game)...>_>

I like the idea of Crono's Mom being a crazy cat lady though...
