The shade she used was a sort of bluish teal, it just looks a lot more blue on the camera phone, thus I could pull off a good Schala. Unfortunately, blue washes out pretty quickly, so it's starting to fade to a greener colour.
As for justification.. Uhh... good question. A lot of my friends at school dye their hair, and I've done mine purple a couple times before. Not quite sure how I convinced my mom, but she likes it. I guess the best justification is that it's Washington, video game capital of the US.
