Why are chicks so cute? They're like kittens. I wonder what it is about the human condition that makes chicks and kittens so adorable and scorpions not so much.

Well lets look at this scientificaly:

Chicks & Kittens = fluffy and adorable

Scorpians = Poisonis stingers on a rampage

Basically, "cute" is a set of features that evokes loving or caring reactions towards whatever bears those traits, or the urge to protect that person/thing. It's an instinct that keeps animal parents from simply tossing their pups out.

Why are chicks so cute? They're like kittens. I wonder what it is about the human condition that makes chicks and kittens so adorable and scorpions not so much.

Humans have an evolutionary desire to be helpful. Chicks and kittens are well... ostensibly helpless; scorpions on the other hand are avoided because it is evolutionarily advantageous to do so.  Keyword being evolutionary.

If only we could somehow combine the two...CHICKITTENS!! They would neither have the ability to actually fly nor avoid bumping into things...the sound they would make would be like a kitten had the hiccups and end in them going, "eep!". People would die in the bask of the cuteness wave.
