I love it! That is one of the most thorough hippie costumes I have seen in quite a while! You've got one of those 1970s hippie blazers that doesn't match with anything, worn with jeans no less; traditional hippie shoes and the requisite hippie scarf; the classical scraggly hippie beard and thick-rimmed hippie glasses mega-combo; and of course the ubiquitous hippie hat, without which no hippie ensemble could ever be complete. And you're squinting, and you've got a bicycle in the background.

By the way, that bicycle is friggin' awesome. It steals the picture. I can just imagine it saying to itself, "Ha ha hah! This is my chance to shine! Bekkler's got no hope to compete against me! Everyone will think I'm the shiniest and best in the whole picture. But Bekkler won't care, because hippies never care about that kind of thing. This is my ticket outta this and on to the Bicycle Big Time!"

You're very close. I believe the proper term for the look is hipster.

But goddamnit if you're not right about that bike. I absolutely love it.

Let's see how many times we can say "hippie" in one post!

(I counted 9.  :))

You're very close. I believe the proper term for the look is hipster.

What exactly makes someone a "hipster".  I have no idea.  Please enlighten me.

Wearing old peoples clothes and thinking it's a new idea? I dunno, it's usually derogatory.

. But hippie is less accurate anyway. No tie dye for me. Also I eat meat and do not hug trees. In fact, I use their innards for my drawin' paper! :-)

I don't take part in the whole indie culture that much, as I have no macbook, nor do I do the comb-the-hair-sideways-so-it-covers-my-eyes thing. But I loves me some blazers when it's cold enough. Also low budget zombie movies and music most people will never hear.

And my glasses with the thick black frames are better than the thin bronze-ish metal ones. Those have a crack in them and whenever I wear them people stare at my right eye and say "You have shit on your glasses." as if I could do anything about it but didn't just to piss them off. Plus I think the crack is getting bigger really slowly and one day it's just going to be glass exploding into my eye.

I have no idea what my point is, basically.

:kz ?

Stereotypes are stupid anyway.  FIGHT THE POWER!  FUCK pigeon holes!

Edit::  ... I just realize that last sentence could come across as something completely different than what I was trying to say.  :S

Good question. If you move to someplace like Seattle's own Capitol Hill neighborhood, you'll learn pretty fast!

Frog kept complaining so I turned Magus into a plushie for a day, so he "knows what it's like". Looks like a dog rolled all over him, too. Poor guy.

The only way that could get any better is if Plushie Magus made a squeeking noise when you squeeze him...either that or have him launch into a minute-long, morbid monologue when you squeeze him.

*squeeze*
Magus: The weak always strive to be weaker...

*squeeze*
Magus: Bad timing! Don't wake up on me now!

*squeeze*
Magus: You! If you hadn't shown up...!

*squeeze*
Magus: Aaah! My powers are being drained!

*squeeze*
Magus: Only the Guru of Time can help us now...

*squeeze*
Magus: My attention is focused elsewhere...

I had Dissociative identity disorder for my costume. I had a small sports bag with 7 sets of clothes and different name tags. I changed in random bathrooms all night (friends, restaurant, movie theater, downtown).
