Me and Zeality are in talks on new requirements in order to get a Fan Project Board.  I also seem to recall Ramsus posting the requirements as well at some point.  Maybe I'm imagining that anyways once it's finalized we'll post it so you know exactly what has to be done to get one.

I'm not sure what to do. I chose DS since GBA has more restrictive conventions. As for the ROM itself, it won't be in cartridge form unless you want to go out of your way to get the hardware that does it. I'm aiming for emulator ROMs.

Also, my hand's still sore so I think I'm extending it to a week of rest. If anyone wants to see what I've done so far, feel free to ask for the source code.

And, as a reference: http://devkitpro.org -- C++ toolkit for NDS, PSP, GBA, Wii, GameCube and likely a few more. I've no doubt the CTR team used this back in the day. This is what I'm using for my game.

Okay, I'm seriously getting a headache from all this NDS homebrew learning. You have to access a bazillion registries just to do ONE thing!

Instead, I'm gearing towards Windows 2000/XP/Vista and Mac OS X. At least they don't have to do with bypassing a bunch of encryption. If anyone cares to volunteer for porting it to other platforms, feel free to contact me once I get enough of it done.

Yeah, NDS is just a pain to program for. So yeah, the game will be for Windows 2000 or later and Mac OS X 10.4.11 or later

Whoa, Schala's making a game about Schala! How cool is that!  I wish I had your knowledge and logic so I could code my own game too. I'm relying on Engines for the time being.

Well, I have some tasks for others, and I'll accredit you in the game in return:

I need the following:

- Something to extract sprites from the game at normal size, not bigger. (playable characters, NPCs, and objects (ie. treasure chests, doors, whatever)
- A talented sprite artist who can create playable character sprite sheets for Dalton and mother (similar to Rox's)
- Spell/attack animations extracted (or a tool capable to do so)
- A tool to extract sound effects

1) All sprites and object sprites have been ripped and are here on the Compendium.  Doors, I'm not sure.  But there's more sprites over the internet, check them out.

2) Probably get Rox to do that.  Every other spriter on here is completely smacked down by a bunch of projects going on.

3) Check www.spriters-resource.com - SmithyGCN ripped some of the effects but only Lavos's I believe.  Also, I think this site has what you maybe looking for graphics wise.

4) Sounds were already extracted awhile ago somewhere.  They should be here on the Compendium

This all sounds really interesting. However, I don't think I can make an entire sprite sheet for Harle. I can probably make some standing graphics, though.
