Hmm that's interesting. I never thought that that might be an issue. Maybe we should try to make spoiler tags in a different way?

EDIT: Tried doing it in a different way but it didn't work too well.

Sam & Max: Hit the Road - Apparently wasn't getting enough point & click comedic fun so I started up Sam & Max: Hit the Road, which is an absolutely great oldschool (think DOS) game from Lucas Arts (I think this is prior Adventure On Monkey Island even) about a talking dog in a suit and a psychotic bunny who solve crimes...w/o a FAQ I would be completely lost at several points. I forgot how hilarious Sam & Max were (used to LOVE the cartoon). I just got the Mood Ring. If you haven't tried this out, you SHOULD! Funny as all get out.

Love that one! The monkey island series, Loom, Sam & Max, and Beneath the Steel Skies all play the same and I recommend them all. Day of the Tentacle also is in the genre but I never found it as fun.

I think I played Adventure on Monkey Island. Is that the one where some kid runs really funny and has some sword, with which he kills evil monkeys?

Ah. Okay. Then I've never played it. I hated that game I described. It was really weird...

Skate 2: I missed out playing the first one and picked the second up as per a friends recommendation, and I can not put the game down. I am absolutely awful at the game as of now, but the amount of tricks that you can pull off is just amazing. Also the city New San Vanelona is massive. Everything is perfect for skating, but still has a feel of a real city. I also enjoyed being able to push almost any object I wanted to anywhere I wanted in the city with no restrictions. I definitely recommend this game to anyone. I am not really into skate boarding at all and this game has totally drawn me to it.

Cons: The game feels as if it is framing from time to time. The career mode left a lot to be desired and the graphics didn't exactly feel next gen, but was perfectly playable. Moving objects feels awkward when moving the character. I wish I could put the camera a bit farther from my skater.

Overall Rating: 9/10

I used to love that game for no apparent reason. Yes, Ape Escape. Yes, Laugh. I liked it when I was like, six.

I remember loving the game. I thought the controls were great. I'll have to fire it up again to see if it holds up.

Star Tropics: Quite possibly one of my favorite NES games of all time. Craptacular controls aside (I need to get a classic controller rather than using the wiimote), its still a fun game. And I had forgotten that old games actually tended to have a high level of challenge, particularly compared to modern games.

also

Civ4: The Civ games are eternal favorites, ranking up there with X-Com for those things I pull out ever year or so and play. But unlike X-Com, the Civ series keeps releasing new versions, which is nice. There is something fun about sending tanks against a civilization that has just developed Knights. Maybe its the meglomaniac in me. Bwahahahaha!

Hold on Thought, I am so sorry if I just misunderstood your post. It sounded like, once again not an insult on your character, that you do consider the Civilization series on par or even better then X-com. I'll give you the benifit of the doubt, but buddy don't be caught saying things like that...people may hear you.

Good lord, no!

Thanks for catching that, Kebrel, I'll try to be more careful in the future.

Though Civ does have one benefit over X-Com right now... I can play it on my computer. At least until I can get rid my widescreen monitor and get something sufficiently blocky.
