So far it's pretty damn good. I can't compare it to any earlier RE games though since I've never played any of them. Unfortunately games like Tomb Raider and Fear Effect (ugh) turned me off to the 3rd person shooter genre back in the PSX days. Not without its faults, but it's pretty fun in the co-op mode. Totally reinvented the series and made it a lot more assessable (the older sloppy camera angles, while they added atmosphere, also added too much sloppiness to the controls) too... They kept the same control system the stop and aim thing... While in Dead Space is an way improved RE4 control system. I don't consider RE5 a bad game.... But the gameplay could been done better. You don't need to save your ammo and such because enemies drop extra ammo. You can buy as much first aid spray as you want. Now it's just a bad arcadey zombie game. Also if Chris can punch someone and knock them a mile it's not too much of a stretch that he can move and shoot. Or at least move and knife. Also versus mode is hilarious watching people run up to each other stop and take turns shooting each other. There are only four characters for Official, but they can't all be winners. The real meat is in the Mission Mode (which pretty much replaces Original Mode from the last game).It feels nice pwning Big Zam or Devil Gundam with Puru, and that's all I will say.If I don't come back here for a while, this is why. Not just headshots, kneeshots, frags, accomplished goals. It shouldn't be limited to Arcade games or shooters either, ever game could implement it.
