To Faust:
Sounds strange. Since I couldn't find a sample for orchestra hit, I used a strange voice sample from CT.
I don't know if I'm correct, are the sounds(in place of those human voice) orchestra hits?

Man, what a weird voice sample -- sounds kind of like a dog choking. I don't even think I've ever heard that sample before, so it's great for the novelty value alone. Sounds like you've got the sequence data spot on, now just to play with the instruments a bit. I could probably fiddle with it down the road if you want to move on to other things.

For reference, this is how the in-game track sounded:

Yeah, that voice sounds funny. I took a look, it is supposed to be the shout effect in Millennial Fair.

Replaced it with snare drum.

Hmm, it's going to be difficult finding an appropriate instrument for that one. Is it possible to just cut and paste CT instrument samples from our sample pack into the SPC file? I might just be inspired to start exploring these now.

You can use the tool to replace a song inside CT and test.
The mml file is in the rar file.

  • mml2spc -m "your mml file path" -f -i your_spc_index
  • Use Temporal Flux to expand the rom
  • inject "your rom path" 0x410000

20-30 seconds long if I remember correctly, it'd be really easy.

That's some kickass game over music.

Yeah, I just downloaded the editor utunnels. Silly me, I'd forgotten you publicly released the very tool I needed.

These SPCs all sound great! Arni Village and Dragon's Prayer are my favourites. The latter sounds like it could play during the introduction of a game, the way it starts softly and picks up after 1:00.

Yeah, your reply reminded me something.
An spc music can have 8 channels, but the last one seems to be reserved for sound effect.
So actually, if the scene has SEs(for example, CT intro), the last channel must not be used.
