I want to make sure I've got the right SPCs on hand for that game, because the music is just grand-tacular and it must be used in millions of CT ROM hacks. One of Chrono trigger's composers were used in that game. I checked E.V.O, it seems the data format is completely different.Anyway, midi to spc is still capable, although you need more efforts. ----------------http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=repCzRMATUoGrasslands/Dream Shore (Map Themes from CC)And how to solve looping problem is explained in the first post.--------I attached the 2 mml files here. Well done, well done, well done. Those themes sounded damn good, although the volume and instrument choice sounded a little off at times, but overall I'd say that was pretty impressive. Keep it up man. It depends on the midi itself and also sample choice.----------------http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Fv6UyNeBYhwAnother 2 pieces from CC: Aruni Village and People Imprisoned by DestinyThe later one is a bit dull though...can't find a better midi.-------------It seems the midi is just fine, but those cymbal beats are really out of tune. « Last Edit: January 28, 2009, 02:24:03 pm by utunnels » Logged mav Magical Dreamer (+1250) Posts: 1331 Gentleman Waiting in the Train Station at Twilight Re: Inject custom spc music into CT « Reply #22 on: January 28, 2009, 02:31:53 pm » Where have you been collecting these midis, anyway? I was surprised at how good some of the midis over at vgmusic.com sound. On top of that, they've also got some of the unreleased tracks in midi form, in case anyone was planning on inserting those too. Logged utunnels Guru of Reason Emeritus Zurvan Surfer (+2500) Posts: 2797 Re: Inject custom spc music into CT « Reply #23 on: January 28, 2009, 02:57:38 pm » Most of them are from vgmusic. But midi itself is only a score, under different instruments, it sounds completely different. Some pieces use some effect such as volume slide which is not included in the score, those will be the hardest to try out. This piece isn't played from begin to the end with the same dynamic...sounds really professional. And it seems I also chose the wrong instruments >_>Gotta try some easier pieces... This is a boss battle theme from Legend of Dragoon that I've always really enjoyed, and there will be a few places for it in AE:HU if it's doable. I think CT's native instruments should suffice. If it turns out to be a nightmare or anything, don't worry about it for now.http://www.vgmusic.com/music/console/sony/ps1/LODMBOSS.mid Logged mav Magical Dreamer (+1250) Posts: 1331 Gentleman Waiting in the Train Station at Twilight Re: Inject custom spc music into CT « Reply #28 on: January 28, 2009, 05:57:02 pm » Dude, that People Seized file sounds perfect...is that even a midi? My goodness, that'll be tough to pull off...I can see why you wanna try some easier ones.
