Sure was  :D. There was a similar boss to him that had like 25 HP bars or something. I kicked that ones ass after several long, long tries. The "Elite" mark bosses in XII were rediculous. It made it really fun though, and it felt like a true accomplishment when you won. Plus I thought the funnest part was hunting them down and finding them in the first place.

My brother left the PlayStation running the night he beat the first guy. He killed it. He left it running again when he tried to kill the second guy. I'm supposed to be going to the Feywood now, but I'm running around and doing hunts. The Trickster kicked my ass. I hate things that do Palings... then I can't have the Penelo Spinny Hour! ... or preferably the Balthier Kick Ass Hour...

Oops. Sorry.

Um... I'm playing through KH2 and some of the designs are ridiculous. Aside from Sora's random straps and zippers, as well as the random zipper on Vivi's hat, the girls need to put something on their lower halves. Kairi and Selphie's school uniforms consist of white dress shirt, a tie, and a microscopic skirt. Kairi's pink dress is no better, and Namine is worse. Don't get me started on what they stick on poor little Yuffie...

But this is a trend I've noticed for a while. If it's not an itsy bitsy skirt or shorts, it's a really low cut shirt/dress. It's ridiculous!

lol, no, it's good marketing. They're going to cut it as close as they can to regulations so they can maximize on profit. And sad to say: girls in microscopic skirts sell just about everything. You could put a picture of a girl wearing a microscopic skirt on a pile of dog crap and put it on E-Bay and I guarantee someone will buy it.

Yes, because dog crap is sexy.

A game should not be sold on how skimpy the females dress. A game should sell on how the gameplay is, how good the graphics are *shudder*, how strong the story is... not on how much boobage the girls can show off! Especially when KH and KH2 are for 10 year olds and is made partially by Disney. That's not right.

lol, this cracks me up, because your perspective on this tea is similar to what we are discussing literally right now in the "Stuff you love" thread about porn and the sexual "exploitation" of women.

I will most likely buy a game that has scantily clad chicks. Why? Because scantily clad chicks are > than chicks fully clothed in my male mind. It's hardwired. That's just the way it is. And as long as it continues to make money, that's the way it will always be.

The way I imagine being a guy, part of the fun is not seeing her near naked, because then where's the imagination aspect?

Yes, I do routinely think about what if I were male. It helps me write better.

In any case, it's gotten pretty bad, if you ask me. Why would a 10 year old buy KH2 seeing that Kairi was wearing a microscopic skirt? If anything, his/her parent would be less likely to buy it for him/her!

well, see, from the parents point of view, they don't think their kid is entering "that stage" at that age. Well... the ten year old IS entering "that stage" at that age. Whether they're aware of it or not. Any bit of extra flesh they can see is a bonus. As for near-naked leaving less to the imagination, you're right and you're wrong. You would think that having a woman fully-clothed leaves more to the imagination and you're right, but the image of a half-naked girl spurs the mind on to greater heights. err... depths, I should say. Near-naked is like the embodiment of imagination.

Also, they're not just marketing it for kids. They slip in that extra expanse of flesh and they snag every drooling male, too. Personally I liked the games for the story lines and game play, so the extra flesh was a bonus.

Agreed. Any decrease in sales due to parents potentially not buying the game for that reason is more than made up for by people buying the game for that reason.

And besides, kids these days find ways to make money. They'll just buy it themselves if they have to.

I don't find animated characters hot. At all. In fact I find it weird when people do. I can tell when a character is suppose to be hot. It's obvious, but still it isn't "hot". I don't think guys even buy games for that reason, if they do they are horrible people. People buy games for the fun, not the sex. Not to say guys will not buy a porn game, they most likely will. But I still believe in honor, morality, and chivalry(kinda).

I bought DoA4.  You think I'm a horrible person?   :(

So lemme get this straight...  You view guys who find characters in video games to be sexy, as horrible people?

No, i never meant that. I meant buying a game only for the sex appeal. Finding them sexy is just weird to me. And the word horrible may have been a little extreme, more like creepy or pervy.

It's not the same kind of "sexy" though. It's not like, "man that Ashe in FF XII is really sexy I would rail her something fierce", it's more like seeing a half-naked chick - real or animated - triggers something primal in the male sex. If it didn't, then sex wouldn't sell. All kinds of sex wouldn't sell.

Yes, that is what I meant. Never be that guy.
