Nominating Chrono Trigger Rebirth for removal from the Fan Projects page. It's just Shinrin working on it, and in a year and a half, barely 2 chapters have been finished. It fails the time requirement, and it's also debatable whether it'll be finished; it technically hasn't been worked on since October 2008.

CT:Rebirth is already in the Sun Keep, so I'd default to removing it from the Fan Projects page unless Shinrin stops by and argues that active work will resume on it soon.

Have we decided on a project completion horizon for the Fan Page projects yet? Somewhere between 2~4 years with possibility for renewal I guess, but which end of that range would be better? Maybe it depends on project complexity?

I'd almost say it depends more on the credibility of the people involved. In that interpretation, it can sort of be loose. For instance, Chrono Crisis's original release date was late 2005.

Yeah.

So I suppose the 2~4 year thing is more a legal fiction that enables us to enforce a subjective judgment.

Gotcha. BTW, looks like justin3009's Schala Project is chugging along pretty steadily. I'm not sure what the completion horizon is, but I take it he's putting precedence on that over the CT:Ultimate Edition.

Yea, I am.  I'm hoping the 8th character gets done soon so we can completely re-do the Schala Project.  It'll be one of the first project with 8 characters when done.

It seems like my Chrono Trigger Apocalypse is still getting looked over...

I already have two episodes out and the third is a major step up from the previous 2....

So can I get some help here?

I'll nominate Chrono Trigger Apocalypse for a place on the Fan Project page. It's being released chapter-by-chapter, so it's sort of like Chrono Trigger: Unglued in that regard.

Yeah, Clovis has also been extremely nice in helping me out as well as everyone else over at UP.

But it seems I have been getting looked over here a lot.

It's a slow process because everyone's hugely busy. ZeaLitY's taking a million grad school classes, and I'm tied up with fan projects. You're making concrete progress on yours T_rod, so I don't think there'll be too much doubt over adding it to the Fan Projects page once the cleanup is complete.

Well thank you Faust (I am glad you have taken interest!)

Anyway, the project is on halt for the time being as I am finishing up a collab I am running on Newgrounds as well as another animation and I am waiting for some custom sprites!

Hopefully those are complete within the next few days so I can make CTA my top priority once more  :D !

I'm noticing how many Fan Projects I'm kind of running.  Sheesh, this is going to be hard to keep them all active.

Assign new leaders. They'll have a new forum rank... "J3 SLAVES"

Okay, now that modding is off the table entirely, what kind of projects would go on the fan projects page? There are still a couple options fans have for multimedia projects, such as:

*Flash
*RPGMaker projects (which SE hasn't said anything about, though it's still borderline questionable -- I'm leaning toward welcoming them, but it's your call ZeaLitY)
*And, uh, audio voiceover type thingies, I guess. Am I missing anything?

At this point I'll go ahead and formally nominate Neo-Fusion's Chrono Trigger Apocalypse for Fan Project consideration. He's demonstrated technical capability to forge ahead, with three episodes completed so far, though if any sort of feature were done on it I'd wait for Part IV, which should reflect a significant uptick in overall quality and interactiveness.
