Why do people call you stupid Shadow?

Exactly why, IDK, but it has been tiresome.

From my understanding of autism, its distinguished by two characteristics: great difficulty in communication, (particularly in language and abstract concepts) and having fantasy dominate a person's perception.

Personally, when I read the comment "Every RPG ever made actually takes place in Marle's autistic mind."
I made the association to a fantasy-focused mind without the tv connection, as I don't think Marle's lack of understanding Lucca's tecno-babble counts as a difficulty in communication (which I'd say she communicates just fine) to said 80's TV show character (who I did not know existed.)  Plus the connection to "I think Marle is stupid." is otherwise unknown to anyone unless there's some massive thread discussion I don't know about where the compendium broke down one specific attribute that each character personifies, in which case that would be silly and be lead almost entirely by fallacies that 'beg the question' each character is associate with.  Simply put anything connecting "world's or places" associated with a person's autism (or in jest saying they are autistic) must be referring to the fantasy driven portion of a person's mind, otherwise the sentence doesn't make sense.

Now, my anti-socialistic tendencies might make me oblivious to what others actually perpetuate about sensitive subjects and whatnot, but as far as I can tell, everyone on the inter-webs a) has difficulties in communications and language (as evident by l33tsp34k, poor grammar, flame wars, etc etc) and b) have fantasy dictate the majority of their mind, otherwise we wouldn't be so driven and consumed in these anonymous facades we lead on, particularly about fictitious subjects and c) calls everyone else stupid, cuz frankly, we all are stupid.  If stupid is "a lack of intelligence" and since no one knows everything, we all "lack intelligence" and therefore are all stupid.

Last note:  I'd say everyone rpg takes place in Crono's Father's mind.  That's why he never shows up in any game, he's too focused in perpetuating the illusions to include himself.

I fail then to see the connection between you being called stupid and your little tantrum regarding maggiekarp's comment.  Was it a misunderstanding, on your part, of what Autism really is?

No on connection between FF series and Chrono Trigger.  Completely separate games that shouldn't be compared.  It's all the basic storyline.  Bad guy = pew pew earth, must save etc.

well, what about Crono? he never speaks, he's not stupid as he does accomplish a world-saving task, and i'm not saying he is for sure, but if anybody in ct WAS autistic, i'm positive it wouldn't be Marle.

While not full-fledged autism, I think Janus could have had a mild form of Asperger's, or possibly the "self-imposed" kind brought about from social withdrawal. Think Shinji and Gendo from Evangelion. It's something some turbo-nerds get too, though it's not the same as self-diagnosed Asperger's which many have used as an excuse for social ineptitude.

It effects people in different ways to different degrees, there's no clear way to describe it.

Anyway... I'm not sorry for making the gag, though I am sorry it offended you, Shadow. I didn't mean anything hateful by it.
