yeah, but you don't get it. just because the computers are different doesn't mean they have different IP's. If they're all connected to the same line, then they're going to all have the same IP for connecting to sites. You have to actually have two different lines to achieve a different IP. or by using a router, but even with a router you can tell by doing a check of the static IP.
News to me. I suppose that's why I didn't go to school for computer science then
Still, he has plenty of access to computers at school, internet cafe's, etc. And no one figured out that it was him who created the Oxlylinc account before, except for me. He wasn't doing anything wrong on that account in retrospect, I just thought it was a joke so I called him out on it. I feel kind of bad about that actually.
If he's getting out of the house in the process of trying to post on here, then that's better for him, even if it means he can get around an IP ban. At least he won't be trapping himself at home with the same computer all the time, and his available time to post will be a lot more reasonably limited.
Chances are though, if this place was simply his path of least resistance, he'll find something better to do with his time.
Also, I deleted his other account the moment I saw it, since the IP addresses were the same, and the tone and the timing of it made it clear who it was. If he hadn't created the account to get around being placed on restriction, I might have let it slide, but don't feel bad and think you helped him get caught for that.
