It was a damn shame when Marvel left Capcom...Anyone ever play those lame ass Activision Mutant Academy fighting games? ew...

idk how they'd crossover with Smash Bros...Maybe there could be two versions...a more Capcom-centric fighter featuring the more adult (i.e. non-chibi) Ninny characters and then the Smash version that'd have crap like the X-Babies and Mog  Megaman & Link would fit in both arenas!

Is that what you wanted?

I remember playing Mortal Kombat in the arcades...and especially MK II.  I became deadly with Sub-Zero...mainly because I spammed this seemingly unavoidable (once hit) 7 hit combo I made up (or think I made up).  Gone are the days...

Which reminds me, Midway have went bankrupt...

Midway had some good games...CarnEvil, Galaxian, Galaga, MK1 & 2, NBA Jam series, Rampage, Ready 2 Rumble Boxing, Revolution X (in the arcades it was pretty good anyways...console version sucked), Spy Hunter and I'll throw in Tron too.

If you include games they were responsible for bringing to the states via Publisher credit then you can easily double that list with some gaming greats like the Cruis'n series, Defender, the Gauntlet series, Joust, Killer Instinct, Primal Rage, the Rush series and my favorite of the bunch, Smash TV.

OMG I've been talking about that for years. Think of the legendary battles. A few off the top of my head.

Ryu and Ken vs. Cloud and Zack
Chun Li vs. Tifa
Akuma vs. Magus
Felica vs. Ayla
Hayato(was in MvC2) vs. Fayte or Edge

To add to this...

Yuffie vs. Sakura (battle of the annoying little girls)
M. Bison vs. Jeckt?
Crono vs. Zero(they have no samurai like fighter)
Kimarih vs. Blanka
Hyo vs. Sefieroth (white haired katana wielders, EPIC!)
Demon Hyo vs. Winged Sefiroth

I played SFIV today in a store, I really want it. I think I'll get a 360 sometime.

I was driving by Universal Studios an on the big light sign (trust me, I had plenty of time to read it) it said they were hosting a SF IV tourney there.  Something to taht effect.  I think it might be over already.  Furthermore, was there ever a Street Fighter III?  Or just 30 versions of II?

There was a Street Fighter III. Actually, there were three of them. In general though, when people talk about SFIII, they're talking about Street Fighter III: Third Strike, which was the last of them.

I don't recall asking for a MUGEN (& I more wanted the less chibi version idea personally), but I guess it still looks neat...Hard to really make things out due to the poor quality of the vid though...I noticed Crono, Marle & Lucca though...anyone rip the sprites they used?
