Dream Devourer ending links Magus to Guile?
« on: March 21, 2009, 02:33:41 pm »
Am I wrong about this, or am I to understand that the version of Magus that appears in the Dream Devourer ending becomes Guile from Chrono Cross?

Well, the ending in itself doesn't confirm or deny, but those who think so are greatly helped by it.

Well I know Guile was supposed to be based off of Magus but they scrapped the idea in development. So he's not supposed to be Magus, but he has amnesia so he may actually be an incarnation of Magus? Sounds like cop out to me.

Or a prep for Chrono Break, detailing Magus' involvement in the Fall of Guardia period.

We can dream, right?

Didn't they let go of the rights to Chrono Break in the states?

But I still get what you're saying. We've been waiting an awful long time to find out exactly what happened after CT. *sigh*

Guile with amnesia? But then again not much it is said about him.

And not based off, but Magus himself. But yeah, scrapped idea.

Or they should do the same to CC like CT, explaining even more. Still, at least we will have CE in just weeks now. That will have to do for now.

Awsome. I'll have to check that out. I just finished playing through Radical Dreamers today and I think I'm gonna start Cross again. Hope my head doesn't explode.

My money: He was involved in the Fall of Guardia and then left searching the world over for mystery or what-the-hell-ever, becoming Guile somewhere along the line.

I'm calling it right now. Should we start a pot and place bets for it, if or when Chrono Break becomes a reality?

Why not.
But I bet we'll wait an eternity for that moment...

Yeah Square has so many projects it has to complete

Final Fantasy 7 Remake PS3
Vagrant Story 2
Final Fantasy Tactics Sigma
Vagrant Story Demetrocles
Star Ocean Prelude Redux
Final Fantasy 7: DoC 2
Chrono Trigger DS Re-Re-Re-Re-Release
Chrono Trigger DS Pre-Pre-Pre-Pre-Release
Chocobo Dungeon 6
and many more

Yeah, square isn't working on anything anyone cares about except for Dissidia, ff13, and Parasite Eve 3rd Birthday.

So, let's see Chrono Break!!!

Remember back when SquareEnix was Square soft and they were a great gaming company that produced one great game after another rather than a giant gaming machine of doom churning out one more cookie cutter game after the next? Ah well anyways...

I picked up Guile in my game of Chrono Cross and renamed him Magus just for the hell of it. =D
