I liked that all the links worked and the layout was a straight rip of Squeenix US. That almost got me. But if I see something strange I automatically think "WTF is it April Fools or something?" so the date was the first thing I checked.

Also nice was the bit about releasing a sequel completely designed and written from fan input and analysis. In case anybody missed that part. If I didn't know it was a joke before that point, I would have found out right then. SE? Listening to what fans want? And AMERICAN fans at that? HA! Good joke.

Edit: Not that I'm implying everybody's American here at the Compendium. I know it's not like that and I think that's fantastic. I just think that if there's anyone SE is going to listen to, it's their home base fans in Japan, or maybe Europe if they get smart. But they'll never cater to the US like the fans here would like. Plus, the site linked to SE USA so I should be good. :D

Hahaha Finally back up I see xD It was a very nicely done mock page though. I do a little web design myself and I know that wasnt just a 10 second job =) But yea good prank, glad to see the forums again  :lol:

would have been better if Zeality announced that "Unfortunately, we received a C&D regarded Crimson Echoes." 

but, I did not remember it was April Fool's as soon as I saw the page, so I started to read as if it was possibly true.  So you had me for about a minute.

Its one thing to replace the front page with a gag, but blocking the forums so they can't even be directly accessed is really fucking lame.  Granted the forums are not life-or-death important, but they're certainly higher than a stupid liar's day gag.

It's not THAT bad.
When that's up, everyone is blocked off so there's nothing to check anyways.
And that's very good, but I usually have a keen eye for pranks. Never would've read it. It's especially obvious once you get to the whole "hairs gets longer and spikier the higher your stats".
That'd mean a LV 99 character would have hair that would go for a couple miles!
