Many people here use rav, which once you've uploaded a few will randomly rotate your avatar between them...I think teaflower started it and then a bunch of us decided to follow her example...imagine the precedent she could create if she Twittered! I Unno... I think that at the time of posting, it was a little more than just a changing pic.

they just look like masks, but i would say the clown nose was an intentional nod to CT. now, if you find some gloves WITH a mask... that's a different story.

as of now, the shapes just seem wrong. the masks in serge's room all seem to have a wave design (incidentally, similar to the surf shop company "Rip Curl"), so my guess is they're probably just there as beachy touristy decorations.
