Masa and Mune were impressed, yes, and they are indeed the very sword, but they were driven by Glenn's dream, and that gave them power. The Dreamstone doesn't have to change, you know, it just needs to be loaded with the Master's desires.

Exactly... once again the dreamstone is merely the medium which dreams can be transformed into the physical realm.  The dream that is using the dreamstone as a medium defines the properties it posseses...
