Of course, I know you really can't publicly announce that if it does.
It's not a ROM, as was explained. Anyhow, all
known copies of the game were destroyed. Unfortunately, because Crimson Echoes had already been in beta testing when the CE team got the C&D letter, numerous people had their own copy of the nearly-completed game. ZeaLitY has instructed beta testers to destroy their copies, but of course we have no way of knowing for sure if they have done so. What we
can be sure of, like ZeaLitY said, is that anybody who leaks this thing will be banned, and, more than that, will be identified to Square Enix, and then
they can mull over the SE's lawsuit threat.
If the people who actually spent years of their own time and energy making this game are willing to comply with SE's demand--as shitty, ungrateful, wrong-headed, mean-spirited, and money-grubbing as that demand may be--then the rest of us should strive to be at least as generous and mature, and accept that the corporate beast has spoken and Crimson Echoes is broken.
