BEST ARRANGEMENT EVER
« on: May 12, 2009, 11:49:16 pm »
Hey, I just stumbled upon this really awesome midi someone made of Frog's theme. It's my favorite I've heard so far. What are some other remixes you like?

Edit:

Remixes I actually DO like:

Other crappy remixes:

Zaichik's attempt to do Frog's theme on the clarinet when she was 16! I could never hit that high D note right D:. I don't think I'm doing any better with Frog's theme on the piano either!

I think this is one of my favourite midis ever. Thank you for sharing this wonderful piece of awesome.
But seriously, it sounds like something I heard in a Final Fantasy game.. like if you got turned into a pig or got drunk or something. Maybe that was the curse in the Wario game for the GB brick..

Thanks. I can only dream of other remixers approaching this much perfection. For just a MIDI, that guy does musical stuff that will blow your mind.

Man I hope you guys are being sarcastic, or else my computer just reads midi wrong. That is some god-awful shit I just heard.

I know. I can't even begin to describe how creative the arrangement was in the tempo and instrumentation. All CT fans and remixers for that matter should hear this.

I have no idea what you're talking about. Yeah, something must be wrong with your computer....

You still sound sarcastic. Whatever's clever though. I didn't like what I heard at all. Off key, off tempo, all the wrong instruments, and only recognizable by a section about two seconds long that sounds like a little kid found a keyboard and went crazy with it, and an adult thought, "wow, my 2 year old almost got the frog theme in the middle there, good thing I was recording!"

You guys are crazy. At least you could post a video that's related to Chrono in some way. For example: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=21OH0wlkfbc Marle's theme and Schala's theme combined. It's beatiful, especially toward the end. The way the choir piano and the live mandolin go together at the crescendo and then collide with the strings section is unreal. Who knows? You may even like it.

Ok, now that the joke is over, do you want to discuss favorite remixes? One of the reasons CT is my favorite game is because I enjoy the music so much. Frog's theme has always been my favorite. This is a pretty sick version of it! I always love guitar/rock versions of this theme. If done well, they're pretty amazing!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2GYLlmmLxk0&feature=related

There are also a number of nice Schala's theme remixes out there as that one is another favorite one for fans to redo, but I get sick of all the stupid comments on those ones. I don't know why in youtube, they use that as fodder for an argument about CC and Schala's role in Lavos's events.

This is by far my favorite, Mintjam Kaeru, 30 sec of pure victory and success.

MintJam's is the most victorious mix, but Ailsean's mix has a pretty ass-kicking feel to it as well.

That megadriver one is fantastic. Have you heard Enter the Frog, the OC remix?
