Well, we never thought CTDS.
And while I can't go to the future right now I'm pretty certain KH3 is just like this.

Everyone including the series' own fans are saying "it won't get another true game in it's series" and then later on in the future it comes out. I'd prefer to be a believer since I may seem foolish now, but I can't be wrong unless they never do another game ever again and they outright announce that. On the other hand, non believers CAN be made fools of by saying "It'll never happen" only to have it happen.

There are many games I can bring up that everyone has said would never get more work with it ever again, and then later sure enough when everyone least expected it...
It rose again.

Unless the creator of said games says so himself, like Mother's. Though I guess they already had their moment when Mother 64 was canceled, with Mother 3 appearing nearly 10 years later.

Still, for the ones that hasn't been said anything about...

I choose to side with you ONSLAUGHT! If I must I will lay on my deathbed saying "just you wait the next Chrono game will come"...it most likley won't come to that, but just saying I will hold on to my belief!

From a post on 4chan:

Square-Enix

商願2009-025978 FRONT MISSION EVOLVED
商願2009-026006 光の4戦士 (Hikari no 4 Senshi // 4 Warriors of Light)

Looks like FFI is getting a remake.

Because we need another one, right?

The original Famicom FFI has just been released on the Japanese Virtual Console, so I'm not sure this 光の4戦士 is a remake. I wonder what it could be though. Warriors of Light were only in FFI, III, and V... FFV prequel starring Galuf?

That...now that would be interesting.

As interesting that it will be, Galuf and company were the Warriors of Dawn, not Light. I don't think it will be FFV related.

I could be wrong, though.

Is it noteworthy or not that they used the number rather than the character for the number? FFV already has a spin-off! JUMP OVER IT AND RIGHT INTO FFVI DS NAO~!

Could be anything... Recently SE has been really prone to develop games that have suspiciously-familiar titles but are not related to previous franchises. For instance Blood of Bahamut has nothing to do with the classic Bahamut Lagoon, and Vanguard Storm despite being set in Ivalice has nothing to do with Vagrant Story...

Considering Warrior of Light became his own character in Dissidia, and (BIG DISSIDIA SPOILERS AHOY) Dissidia is a prequel to FFI (albeit WoL lost his memories) and expanded on the concept of not just Garland becoming Chaos, but it turns out this is an endless cycle of people becoming Chaos and repeating it. Plus there's the whole thing about Cid of the Lufaine not being seen in FFI (he's apparently Chaos at some point and also Garland's father). Garland has a big (and rather disturbing) backstory now so there's a lot to cover. It'd be interesting to see what's done with a remake. So, considering Dissidia's success and involvement, it's very likely an FFI remake.

WHY WOULD YOU WANT ANOTHER CHRONO GAME, I THOUGHT THEY WRAPPED UP EVERYTHING PERFECTLY WITH THE ADDED DS CONTENT

Anyway, I wouldn't get my hopes up. CTDS came out of left field, so I figure if there is another Chrono game or remake, it'll come when we least expect it.
