Legend of the Hero Medal

I always thought that Doreen was in the Heroes Medal, and of course Masa and Mune are in the Masamune. I thought the three comming together made the sword more powerful (increases the crit chance for the Masamune.) I guess there was a hero before Cyrus and Frog who wore the Hero's medal and wielded the Masamune, and that's how it gained its fame. This is just speculation though.

There must have been a hero before Cyrus and Glenn, wasn't it stated that the Masamune was passed down to heroes or something like that?

No, I think you're confusing it for the Einlanzer.

The Masamune wasn't passed down, but the Hero Medal (Or the Badge of Courage, whatever it's called) was passed down. I wonder, though. It seemes to aid the Masamune, but CC confirms it comes from a different set. How is it connected, then?

Or it could have been the Hero's Medal too.  I dunno, something was passed down from hero to hero.  I still think the Hero's Medal was crafted in Zeal though.

The CC Hero's Medal isn't the same as CT's.

Verdadissimo (Very True):  They don't look alike at all, and yeah...they aren't the same things.

So, Isn't Doreen in the CT heroes medal? To me that is the only logical explination for the masamune upgrade when its equipped. also in CC when Masa, Mune, and Doreen are formed into the mastermune, it gets a huge upgrade as well.

Hum then why don't we even learn of Doreen and the Hero medal had always some link with the Masamune and why the mastermune and not the Masamunedorreen? I always though that Doreen what really something stupid from squaresoft part but atleash she's the only one without character development in that game

True, Doreen does seem rather...dumb, but Squaresoft loves to place "minor" characters, but they turn out to be something big anyway.

Doreen was in the Masamune, but she was in a state of sleep, a state that Masa and Mune slip into as well at some point. The Masamune is powered by Cyrus' spirit and has nothing to do with Doreen, while the Mastermune awakens all three spirits, plus with Serge's dreames and desires who power it up: It makes it a very lethel wepaon.

Note that the Mastermune (Masa+Mune+Doreen) is called Grand Dream in the Japanese CC. In CT, Grand Dream was the name of a Triple Tech which summons 3 big creatures who look like the fused form of Masa & Mune... Maybe those 3 creatures are actually Masa, Mune and Doreen?

Possibly. But I don't think Frog's involved with Grand Dream... But I could be wrong, I can't rightly remember.

Frog is obviously part of Grand Dream (the Tech)...

You also must note that Grand is simply the name of Masa in the Japanese version, Mune is Lion and Doreen's name is DREAM. So perhaps Doreen just bumps Mune out of the sword? Maybe there's only room for two...

Either way, I've always thought that Doreen, if she was within anything (I could also see her as being too much of a free spirit), it'd be the Pendant. Since it is also made of Dreamstone (we aren't told if the Hero Medal is), is also around Zeal time when we see her, and it's also there in Chrono Cross...

The pendent? I doubt that, how did she get from the pendent to the Masamune? She was in it in CC, to be sure.

I don't understand what you mean...The Pendant is around the Masamune in both games.
