the campfire scene.
« on: June 15, 2009, 11:48:42 pm »
didn't gaspar say that no more than three can come out of the gate? He said something about time being disable. or the end of time itself disabled. OR did he mean that three person a group may enter the gate?

More than three can enter as long as they come from the same era. If they are from at least two different ones, then only three maximum.

If you mean about how all seven were together for the campfire scene, that's easy: Two groups of three using either the nearest gate or Epoch. If Magus was with them, then have one of either group return for the one who was left behind.

that REALLY makes no sense...

Edit: sorry, what my intention was to ask for reasoning or explanation behind this because gaspar said nothing about this.

You have an Epoch and must get Ayla, Frog, and Magus across the river of Time to Fiona's Forest. Ayla will eat Frog if left alone, and Frog will kill Magus if left alone. You can only take one across at a time.

What? Funny, though.

Anyway...

Gaspar says so when you first meet him, in the re-translation at least.

Here ya go. What Acacia Sgt. said was correct, but the detail was left out in the original CT (as in the SNES CT with the Woolsey translation):
The Japanese version of the game elaborates that at least one of the four beings must be from a different time period than the others, though this is still completely arbitrary and used to reason why the party must have three members at all times.
Hope that helps.

Best CT quiz I've ever seen.

Bwahaha, I meant Acacia Sgt. I suppose my love for you is seeping through too many topics. :P

Anyhow, who is to say that they all used the same gate to get to the campfire anyway? I don't really see an issue here...

And I was wondering...

Anyhow, who is to say that they all used the same gate to get to the campfire anyway? I don't really see an issue here...

The Gate Key, they only have one, so they also have to use the Epoch. That leaves one party member still in the EoT though, which is why one of either group has to go back for him/her.

Or 2+2+3. As in, three go through the gate, one comes back, three go through the gate, one comes back, three go through the gate, all done!
