Hmm, I'd suggest showing off the CE videos...it'll help maintain interest in the series and has the possibility to generate hype for people who weren't aware of the project. There's probably more we could all do, but what I suggested is probably one of the easier tasks...

Much agreed personally. Although nothing can really "save" CE at this point other than Square Enix deciding on its own to its acquiescence to the mod's release, if Chrono fans know that a fan project as ambitious as this nearly reached fruition, they may be inspired to dream...big things of their own.

Yeah, just spread the word (but in a non-annoying and tasteful way).

How do you spread something on a forum without annoying everyone?   I've never quite figured that one out so I haven't done it so I won't get in trouble.

Uusually when I see 'Advertising' sections of a fourm the replies are usually next to none.

btw  I signed the petition and clicked on the confirmination email link.

I think if we can get enough notoriety and popularity, Square would see the marketing opportunity and endorse the release of the game, maybe even publish it.

Look at how many things are mods of Half-Life 2, after all, and they sell like crazy.

dont post it on an advertisement forum

post it on a current events forum, with a deep explanation of the struggle that ensued then a link to the vids.

Yeah, and relate it to the place you're posting at. If you go to site related to gaming, RPGs, romhacking, etc, then you'll find an easier way to relay this information to these people. Try to get a little involved in those communities first though, since it really could be kinda spammy to just appear and have a topic about CE be your first post.

Signatures are always a good place to advertise.

Don't forget Youtube, either. Myspace, Facebook, any social networking site. If you really want to advertise it, there's virtually no limit on the Internet.

You might want to start with getting someone with a bit of clout to help support you on those sites though, as smaller users can get lost in the fray.

I dont know if there is an official petition to save Crimson Echoes (I signed one but it didnt seem that "official"), if there is however they should make shirts that say "Save Crimson Echoes" on the front and have a portion of the ordeal on the back, and a bit about the chrono series!

I'd buy :)

Or, you know, you could contact the Electronic Frontier Foundation and see what they have to say.

hmm, judging by what they say or their site, if the CE team were to ever want to fight the C&D, the EFF could serve as their lawyers perhaps?
though i think fighting the C&D is pretty low on their list of things they want to do.

I was hoping more as an advocacy group role, rather than them serving as lawyers.

But yeah, if the CE team did want to, the EFF might be able to sponsor them.
