In all seriousness, it is like Sony's mainstream of games is Final Fantasy and Kingdom Hearts. I am not to sure about Microsoft because I do not recognize them well enough, however they do have some feats in technology like that NATAL. Anyways, why not allow Nintendo platforms to have the Chrono series? Okay I know this sounds bias and I know there are FF series on the Nintendo console, but solely for the Crystal Chronicles and remakes series and if SE doesn't have the time to make another Chrono (depends on how much they want for sells) on another system, then let us do that!

It's not like we (who are we, by the way) make the decision over which developer owns the Chrono series. Honestly, I don't think anyone hear cares which system the next Chrono game appears on, so long as there is a new Chrono game...If you're asking whether SE would make the next Chrono game on a Nintendo system, I don't see why they wouldn't. Sony and Nintendo appeal to different demographics, I assume that SE would take that into consideration when deciding who gets what game. But as for whether SE would sell the Chrono property (the intellectual property, that is) to Nintendo, I don't see that happening. They're protective of that property, we know that, and I really wouldn't expect SE to hand over this kind of property to such a well-known company...it's not in their best interest.

The FF series isn't really even just on Sony anymore...Nintendo on the other hand has complete hold over the Dragon Quest series (which is the most popular RPG series)...I think it more than balances out in Ninny's favor, really...

More Final Fantasy games have been on Nintendo systems if I'm not mistaken, and Nintendo has the same amount of Kingdom hearts games on their consoles that Sony does. Let's also not forget that Nintendo fostered the birth of Final Fantasy, and Microsoft now has a piece of the SE pie too.

Actually, Sony has more KH games than Nintendo.

Nintendo only has CoM and will have that 358/2 Days game (or however it is named), while Sony has all the rest.

And a KH game for Mobile, forget the name though.

What I really afraid are how people will against the idea of other party developing the game. Just look on what Monolith Soft done on Xenosaga series. Some people don't like them and others are opposite. IIRC One of the hater are like int, (if Z is god of Chrono community, then int follow the same step for Xenogears). He disgusted the Xenosaga series so much that he left the community. Who want that to happen to Z lol.
^^Correct me if my information are fault

Not a native English speaker? Mistwalker did not make Xenosaga. And Square does not approve of Xenosaga. Everything that is connected in Saga and Gears is only referenced loosely. Square would tell you they are not connected. And I really don't understand this topic. Is it about what system the Chrono series should be on? If so it should be for both PS3 and 360.

All 2, not counting the rereleases.

Not to mentioned Re:CoM for the ps2, and the final mixes that were exclusive to Japan. Anyway, I don't think companies would ever just give over a game property to another with the mindset "They would do better with it anyway", only with the mindset "Wow that was a lot of money we got for this", which is understandable. I'm sure companies love making games, but they have to make money from them. I do hope someone makes a new chrono game, and it probably will be for the PS3 if they do, most of the "Main Series" games, (FF 7-13, KH 1,2, Chrono Cross) appear on a non portable Sony console, but who knows, if there is another Chrono game, it could be for the Wii!

Maybe you missed what was being discussed in those last two posts...

not counting the rereleases.

As for the rest of it, like said, SE's biggest series, Dragon Quest, is on Ninny for the foreseeable future (next two are already planned for them anyways)...the next installment (and so far plenty of spin-offs and remakes) is even on their handheld system...I don't think there's any real indication as to which platform the next Chrono would be on. SE, like many other companies, has chosen to go for a broader approach by being very all console-inclusive.

I don't really care what console gets the rights to a new Chrono game, just as long one of them does. I'll go out and buy a Wii, PS3 or Xbox360 solely for that game.

...If they bring back the Dream Team. Personally, I'm expecting something like out of Dragon Quest from Toriyama, something epic out of Kato, and if they so much as touch Uematsu and Mitsuda, I might as well not play it.

"if they so much as touch Uematsu and Mitsuda"...? From what I recall, Uematsu was hardly involved with CT, though Mitsuda has been the real series staple...I'm not sure I understand your statement though...You want them both? Don't want either? :S

I'm with you on the subject of, I don't care which system, although I highly doubt it'll be on a microsoft system. Although I don't see a Chrono game going on one of the 3 7th generation systems, the graphics would be good, but that just doesn't seem to fit the style (in my opinion anyway). Although of course, done right, then it would fit the feeling.

My bad on KH game subject, I missed that one post that said "not including rereleases". I guess it is up to each individual person to count those, I do because I own them. But I understand why you wouldn't.

Uematsu was technically Mitsuda's supervisor, along with being his mentor and playing a larger role than just his compositions to the soundtrack. That's what I'm lead to believe from the interview with him(Mitsuda) on his page(he singles out Uematsu and Sakaguchi for praise). He also composed a few tracks himself, including the awesome, high octane Bike Race music.

He also took over actual scoring when Mitsuda got sick with a stomach ulcer.

As for his work on Chrono Cross, well, its very limited if anything. But that's mainly because he was composing FF9, Ah My Goddess! and a bunch of other crap that Square had its finger in.

In any event, my main point was that Mitsuda should lead the composing staff as always, with Uematsu at his station as director of music, and not mess with the dynamic between the two of them. Ideally, they'd have the same contribution that CT did, with Mitsuda composing most of the soundtrack and Uematsu lending his ear for a few other tracks.
