Personally I liked it.  I thought it was a great quirk for game play.  What about you'll?

I hardly ever bothered with it, except for in the battles with FATE and the dragons. Yeah, it's nifty, but it's just too troublesome to line it up right, and it really sucks how you have to have it a solid colour to use summon elements. That thing's going to change colour again before you can get enough stamina for that summon.

By the way, "it didn't effect me" should be "it didn't affect me".

It added a whole new layer of strategy. With using it to my advantage, I never lost a battle(except Dario)!

I loved it!

It didn't effect me usually, unless I want to collect certain summon elements.

Really, only if you can do a low-level playthrough like in CT, these misc. details are really meaningless. v_v

I found it wholly unneccesary. If the enemy couldn't affect it, it would have been more useful.
But there's no point using one color over and over just so you can use a strong version of that color, because before you can use the strong one, the badguy has already used a different color, and you just wasted all your reds.  :?

Its unnecessary up to the point where you have to fight these uber-bosses like Miguel and Garai, who have been known to kick quite a few asses themselves. Dario is an exception, because of the way his reaction to elements is.

But for Garai and Miguel, you need to pay super special attention to that field gauge or else your gonna get killed.

I liked the idea. never really used it myself. Even for Garai.

Despite him being White thus having 2 black characters in my party being a bad idea, I insisted on having Harle. I just kept playing again and again and again. Didn't level up, change equipment, elements, everytime the battle was the same stuff.

I was technically insane. Doing the same thing again and again and again and expecting different results.
However I drove the insanity away because eventually despite being in a situation where different results shouldn't come up I eventually won.

Give me my own coloer grid and the enemy their own color grid and the battles could've been much better. But I suppose it was still a good feature.

Haven't really gotten far enough into the game for it to make any difference...I found it mildly annoying for the most part, but like any battle strategy I can see using it to my advantage later.

It really never affected me. If the field was all one innate, I just slammed them with physical attacks and casted something to screw them up, never used it to my advantage (save for Saints, summon of the year all years) and got through the game just fine.

I dunno; I didn't love it, I could do without it, but it was generally a fun tool for me. So I guess I liked it--I didn't use it wholly to my advantage, but it was a neat gimmick at times. Although Bekkler's point about the enemies using it makes sense, it's more fun to try and work around them.

Just another little thing they tacked on to their boatloaded battle system and that's exactly how it felt. Tacked on. It was nice, but served little real purpose in strategy or effectiveness in battle. You don't have to pay attention to it at all, really. I mean, who's using White Elements against a White Innate anyways? The whole tying it in to summoning was bothersome as well...I don't even get that, but w/e...

It was unnecessary.  Summons and the field effect were utterly pointless and I never paid any attention to it.  The only time I used summons was when I wanted to see what they looked like and when I wanted to get the ingredients for the Rainbow series of weapons.

Those ingredients really irked me. Getting the field effect to a solid colour before casting your summon is such a pain. Either the monsters die before you can summon, or the summon doesn't kill them. I still haven't got a single rainbow item yet.

At the very least you should only have any trouble getting the White and Black ones...but there are those slime monsters or w/e that'll attack in groups of 2 or 3 that retaliate with like Elements or something, I think...I remember hearing that anyways...or you could just USE STAMINA ACCESSORIES!
